It was poorly maintained. The bathroom lock was not working. The bath tub was clogging.

We were given a room, and the ceiling fan had a thick layer of dust on the blades. The toilet wasn't clean and the shower curtain was mildewed. We requested another room, which was somewhat better. The breakfast was burnt and not worth eating. To top it off, we were double-charged for the night. I had to return to the property in order to receive a refund for the overcharge.
My wife and I booked a room for May 11th because we had an early morning flight to the village on May 12th to prepare my sister-in-law's funeral. This was already an emotional and stressful time for us, and this hotel made it so much worse.
My wife checked into the room earlier in the day with her friends and left her suitcase there before going to pick up her sister's urn. When we returned to the hotel around 2:00 AM, my wife's suitcase was gone.
I called everyone who had been in the room to make sure there wasn't a misunderstanding. Every single person confirmed that the suitcase had been left in the exact same spot in our room.
My wife went to the front desk, where the receptionist casually told her that sometimes the room doors don't close all the way and that there are a lot of homeless people who walk around the property. He then said there was nothing he could do about it.
When we went together to the front desk, no one was there. We rang the bell repeatedly and waited nearly two minutes before the employee finally emerged from a room behind the desk. He again stated there was nothing he could do and suggested we either wait for the manager in the morning or file a police report.
We asked if he could check the security cameras. He told us the cameras didn't cover our hallway and that reviewing footage wouldn't help.
Because we had a flight to catch i the morning and were dealing with a funeral, we waited for the manager. Our friends had to scramble in the middle of the night to find clothes and necessities for my wife because everything she needed for the trip was in that suitcase.
The next morning, the manager asked us to describe the missing suitcase. She then walked into the room behind the front desk and came back out with it.
The suitcase had apparently been sitting behind the front desk the entire time. The same room the receptionist came from when we talked to him during the night.
Absolutely nothing
It was dirty wornned down , bed sheets dirty and wrinkled
Everyone and everything was horrific
Can’t have enough words to express my uncomfortable feeling
Moldy curtains in the shower
location
I waited for 1 hour at the airport for the shuttle and called 3 times and every time I was told it was on the way! I finally took a taxi the 2 miles to the hotel and shuttle was in the parking lot! On my way back to the airport I walked and it was quicker!
Shuttle drivers were wonderful. Breakfast...they ran out of eggs and creamer.
Very very dirty
Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was nice.
Dirty carpets, heavily stained desktop, a/c didn’t work.
Smelled unclean.
Desk staff was excellent
Breakfast could be served an hour earlier for folks who have to catch busses/trains to Seward/whittier for cruises
Clean and large room.
Nothing
line check in. When we arrived and they gave us our key we were surprised to see an unready room with TV on messed bed and towels on bathroom floor. They then tried to give us the room our friends just rejected because of the smell of smoke in the room. The lobby had local people waiting around to see if they could get a room for the night, one was clearly on drugs and they hung around the hotel inside and outside. At one point we watched him smashing something with a wood baton and twirling around in the back parking lot. This was very disturbing for us and we were concerned about the safety of the property. No hairdryer, broken elevator and just generally a dirty facility, we were also told that the shuttle to the train station was suspended due to the high volume of tourists (??!?!? Huh?!?). We chose not to partake in the additional amenities like the pool and breakfast due to the lack of cleanliness. I will be sharing my opinion on various review platforms to help those traveling to Anchorage not to make the same mistake as us.
The location to the airport is great
It was filthy. The carpets are worn and dirty. The paint is dirty and scratched up. The floor in the bathroom was disgusting and the toilet wouldn’t flush
We stayed here after a cruise before our flight home. We thought with the Wyndham name that it would at least be suitable. I only want a clean hotel that is safe, so I am not a ridiculously picky person. We arrived early and were told that if we wanted to check in it would be a $35 charge. We then asked to put us down for a shuttle the next day and watched them write down our request for time and date. We finally checked in and our room was a dump for $300. We didn't have options, so we stayed, which was our first mistake. The second was finding out that the thermostat didn't work and we woke up to a room that was 64 degrees. We just wanted out, but when we came down, they said that there was no record of our shuttle reservation and that the shuttle was in the shop. They found out that it was only in for an oil change, so we were only delayed a half an hour and fortunately we had time. I realize that Anchorage is an expensive place, but I woke up with a headache because of the temperature in the room and the service and competancy was horrible. Do not stay here.
