Decent option, but no comfort.
Pros:

I appreciated the coffee and tea bar available all day. The water fountain allows for refills of my water container. Location was perfect! I loved walking onto the state park and exploring.

Cons:

Facilities are outdated. AC is noisy. Limited breakfast options and eating space.

Great location. Great hotel.
Pros:

Love the location. Right next to Donner Lake.
Clean and welcoming with very comfortable rooms.
Staff is friendly and helpful and I really like that we get our room cleaned every day.

Cons:

Was disappointed that the pool and spa were closed down.

WORST Customer Service
Pros:

DO NOT STAY HERE! Absolutely terrible customer service. When we arrived the pool and jacuzzi were broken. We specifically booked this hotel for the pool. We told them we were canceling our reservation because they falsely advertised a working pool/jacuzzi. The front desk said a manager would need to approve a refund. We’ve been calling and emailing the manager for over a month now and haven’t reached any manager yet. Now we’re out $300.

The day was good. The staff was friendly. Breakfast was decent. Wish they could calm down with the air freshener, though

Closeness to lake. Clean and comfortable. Coffee all day in lobby. Close to store and coffee shop.

Cons:

Air freshener was way too strong. Pool and spa not working, we were not told at time of booking.
