Nice sleep, awful breakfast
Pros:

The beds were super comfy, the rooms were a good size, it was clean. There was a fridge and a microwave in the room.

Cons:

The coffee in the room was awful, it was weak and tasteless.
The breakfast was horrendous, there was very little choice and quality was rubbish.

Anything but relaxing.

The hot tub

Cons:

When we arrived there was no power. They had no idea when it would be back on. We decided to stay and not go look for another hotel because we did no the area. The power was out for a few hours. Then the water went out. We asked for a discount and they said they couldn't do that. We used the hot tub but the pool was to cold to go in. We thought it wad a heated pool but apparently it wasnt. Can't imagine a pool in a Michigan hotel not heated. This was supposed to be a relaxing get away for us but it wasn't at all.

Pros:

They did not have an elevator and had us on the second floor. My husband has mobility issues and it was difficult to get him upstairs

Overall pretty good stay.
Pros:

The staff was friendly, room was clean, comfortable beds. Pool and hot tub were clean and a comfortable temperature. Easy to get to. Close to Houghton Lake, restaurants, and the price was

Cons:

The breakfast was just okay. All manly carbs. No scrambled eggs, sausage or protein options. That was very disappointing. Still had to go out for breakfast as my husband is diabetic and the options were a diabetic nightmare. Small pillows for the beds, had to ask for a few extra. The door handle to our hotel room was not functioning properly. The key wouldn't work right because the handle needed to be tightened with an allen wrench. Told staff the first of two nights about the issue, and was told that maintenance would fix it the next day, however that didn't happen.

Thank you for a great stay.
Pros:

Room very nice, staff great, pool and hot tub great. Breakfast, enjoyed bagels and cream cheese with coffee and juice. Before and after my father's funeral. Before we headed home.

Cons:

Bed too soft, had a hard time sleeping, felt like I was going to fall off of bed, when I got to close to edge of bed
