Fantastic stay at this unique and beautiful property. Service was exemplary. Also, the restaurant, Felice, serves delicious food in a charming setting. Great bar service as well. From the bell staff, front desk to the cleaning crew, everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this hotel.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The customer service was excellent from beginning to end. We were welcomed with complimentary champagne and water, received a room upgrade through Amex Platinum, and the staff was consistently friendly and accommodating.

Our biggest issue was the air conditioning. The rooms use window units with motion-activated thermostats, so the A/C shuts off when there is no movement—including while you’re sleeping. I woke up during the night extremely hot and had to get up for the A/C to turn back on. This is definitely something to be aware of when visiting during very hot or cold weather.

Our first room also had a strong mildew/sewer smell coming from the bathroom. Once we reported it, the staff immediately offered to move us, and our second room was larger and even nicer. Again, the service was 10/10.

We enjoyed breakfast both mornings, although there wasn't a regular breakfast menu provided, so ordering additional items came with a little sticker shock—two side orders of eggs were $11 each. The gym facilities are also quite small, with only a couple of machines on each of three floors.

The location was convenient to the train (about a five-minute walk), complimentary water was always available, and the Amex benefits, including breakfast, late checkout, and a $100 hotel credit, were a nice bonus.

Despite a few drawbacks, we enjoyed our stay and the exceptional staff really made the difference.

Property had great location. Room was very comfortable for 3 adults. We stayed in the suite with the sofa bed. Very spacious room. We loved the bar and restaurant. Would stay again.

Stayed 2 nights here for a lower Manhattan business conference nearby. The service and restaurant were very good. The room was just plan awful...even thought I was upgraded to a suite. Dark, dingy, old, and terrible lighting. Very poor quality rooms that need a substantial upgrade / redecorating.

Amazing experience all around. Amazing staff and clean, beautiful room. The front desk told us to try Felice's restaurant but we figured they told that to everyone. We tried it and wow were we happy we did. Excellent food for dinner. Their gelato for two blew our minds causing us to take pics of it and heart it on our Google maps! Then for breakfast their French Toast was just amazing! Wonderful hotel all around.

GILD HALL is an amazing hotel in downtown New York City. The rooms are well-appointed and gorgeous, the staff is friendly and helpful, the attached restaurant, Felice, has an elegant breakfast - we never had a chance to eat lunch or dinner there, but I bet it's wonderful. There's a bar in the lobby. The lobby is elegant and whimsical at the same time, because it's full of plush seating and also big wooden board games (chess, checkers, etc.) set out on the tables. Hardcover books line the stairwell to the second floor seating area. Our room was large, with a high ceiling, clean and well-appointed, and had a small fridge. The Thompson Suite is also gorgeous--it has its own living room, a little kitchen, and TWO bathrooms -- one of them has a tub. Honestly, this hotel is such a hidden gem, tucked away on narrow Gold Street, with an easy walk to the Calatrava train station and the 9/11 memorial and South Street Seaport and Wall Street and subways that'll get you anywhere in NYC. We reserved a block of rooms for a wedding party and some wedding guests, the couple stayed in the Thompson Suite, and we all loved it. I can't praise the place or the people enough.

Loved the location in Manhattan for the family. Easy to take the train, walk to the pier, wall street, etc. Nice and clean, good breakfast.

I had an amazing stay at Gild Hall, A Thompson Hotel by Hyatt in Lower Manhattan. The hotel is beautiful, stylish, and in an excellent location near the South Street Seaport.

The front desk staff was friendly, welcoming, and provided outstanding customer service throughout my stay. They made me feel valued from the moment I arrived.

The location is perfect. The subway station is only about two blocks away, making it easy to get around New York City. Wall Street is just a short three-block walk, and many restaurants, shops, and attractions are within walking distance.

I also enjoyed the hotel’s restaurant and happy hour, which was a great way to unwind after exploring the city.

As a Hyatt property, Gild Hall exceeded my expectations with its comfort, service, and convenience. I truly had a wonderful time and would definitely stay here again. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Lower Manhattan. Five stars!

Would definitely stay here again, Warm friendly staff, great American breakfast Amex Platinum preferred hotel for a reason, it's a nice stay. Great bed linens too.

My children and I enjoyed our 1-night stay. Staff is incredibly friendly & helpful, a pure delight. We tried the lounge with our stay giving us access hors d’oeuvres 4-7PM and breakfast. Location was perfect as we wanted to walk to Central Park and see Times Square. Room on a lower floor was spacious and comfortable with minimal street noise. Overall a good value that I would go back for.

Staff is extremely helpful and the building, including our room and bathroom, were extremely clean throughout our stay. Excellent location for sightseeing as well.

Tucked in historic lower Manhattan, Gild Hall is an oasis. From spacious, well appointed rooms to exceptional staff and decor, staying at Gild Hall for business exceeded my expectations. I’d love to return for a leisure visit. A note for fitness buffs like me: The hotel Offers fitness space on three floors, but the equipment is limited. They did offer complimentary access to a nearby Crunch if you want access to a full service gym. The treadmill, bench & free weights on floor 6 were fine for me.
