Not a thing
Hotel needs a severe update. $60 a night for valet parking is ridiculous. Rooms are very outdated. Bathrooms need more amenities. Need no slip bath mats and exhaust fans. Location to river walk is at one end. Pricing is outrageous for condition of rooms. Breakfast is way too expensive!
We had an amazing experience at the Westin in San Antonio. Our room was very clean, and the beds were comfortable. We all slept so well. Every staff member was kind, and helpful. Irene at the front desk made us feel very welcome, and she made my daughter feel so special for her birthday. The location was great, convenient to restaurants and the River Walk. Thank you, Westin!
Hotel had the basics. Nothing special.
Was given key my room after 30 minutes of waiting to check in, ( unacceptable) and when i went to get into room the door hardware was falling apart, took pieces to the front desk and was give. another room, then the second room i was given had a broken AC, finally the third room was ok, but the bathroom sink faucet was clogged and the faucet handle was hard to move and couldn’t adjust properly. The shower temperature was not adjustable and was just warm water.
After all that no one ever contacted or followed up, poor service and poor maintenance in this hotel. The staff needs a major talk to have better attitude towards guests.
The hotel was really beautiful but my room was horrible.
The room had water damage on the ceiling and the crown molding was falling off with mold.
Location, staff friendliness, amenities
We stayed for 5 days. There were two days we had to ask for fresh towels. Our bedding was made but never changed. Parking was over the top expensive at $60/day.
Service was excellent. Jay M, Rachael, Chance, Arturo, and Karmari were fantastic. Can’t say enough good things about all of them.
I seriously don’t believe half of these reviews. Yes the location is great and it’s nice enough but nowhere in ANY reviews does anyone mention the terrifying elevators. Only two of them were operable and even those made loud squeaky noises that you could hear in the lobby. And when the door closed they jammed together when they closed. Some people were so scared they would walk up the stairs. No one came to fix the elevators during the entire FIVE days we stayed.
The New Year’s Eve dinner we unfortunately signed up for was a joke.Don’t get me wrong the waiters were working their tails off but the food was awful. The bar service was no better. Stay Away at least until they repair the elevators.
Perfect
My sister and I went to San Antonio Riverwalk early December. We stayed at Westin on the Riverwalk. Beautiful time to go with the extra Christmas lights on the Riverwalk. It’s beautiful without the extra lights however it made the Riverwalk stunning. We not only enjoyed the Riverwalk, we visited the Alamo, ate at The Chart House in the Towers of Americas and enjoyed a fantastic dinner and beautiful view of the city, went to The Botanical Garden, Historic Market Square, Pearl District, King William Historic District, San Fernando Cathedral … just to name a few. We ate and drank at so many restaurants and enjoyed fantastic food and brews! Westin was the perfect location. Walked everywhere, no car needed. Beautiful, exciting and fun city. We will be visiting again during the Holiday light season.
Staff was very nice, the accommodations and location are lovely. I’m so grateful to Jay, Faustino, Chance and Rachael for keeping my car safe during my stay!
