A 2 star hotel billed as 4 star
Pros:

Hotel advertises a heated pool. Heater did not work the entire time we were there. The staff knew when we checked in
TV stopped working first day and had to call maintenance.

When we arrived at hotel , valet said he would have to charge us if we didn't move the car. I had to tell him 3 times our room included parking.

Keys to the room only worked on fourth try.

Great Time at The Westin, Riverwalk!
Pros:

We had a fantastic experience. From the time we arrived, Valets were friendly and very attentive, great attitude and assistance. To our experience at the Front Desk checking in with Irene who was very friendly, great attitude, fun, actually and very helpful. To David the Concierge who was also very helpful and friendly. Everyone paid attention to detail. We loved our stay

Issues with Room 1501
Pros:

I did not plan on writing a reveiw. I stayed in room 1501. When I left, I handed the front desk a note with suggestions for improving the guest experience for this room. I took a picture of it which I have attached. The reason I am actually writing is because while the front desk person took the time to remove the check box that would send me an email to write a review of the property, but no one at the property took the time to contact me to thank me for my suggestions or apologize that my stay was not up to Westin standards. I was not asking for any compensation - I have owned properties of my own and was attempting to assist the management in improving other guests stay.

It's a Westin - not a holiday inn express. I will say that I also had a problem with my A/C not working and a fine young man came and assisted. I am sorry that I don't remember his name, I think it was Albert. He was very professional.

Friendly, helpful, clean, and convenient
Pros:

Very friendly and helpful staff. From check-in, valet team, housekeeping team, and everyone we encountered were amazing. They certainly made our experience memorable, and we will definitely be back. The Westin Riverwalk is our favorite place to stay when visiting San Antonio.

The best on the Riverwalk!
Pros:

San Antonio riverwalk hotel at Westin was a wonderful place! Quality rooms and bedding! Service was top notch! I don’t know what we would do without the valet! They were so helpful and friendly! I want to mention the guys that took care of us the whole time. Jay M, Chance, Issac, Joe, Dre & Rachael. These guys went above and beyond the call of duty! We had a lot of stuff! They did it all! We will definitely return to this hotel!

I want to take a moment to thank the friendly and accommodating staff, starting with Irene at the front desk, including the restaurant staff, who understood our sometimes demanding timeline, and thanks to the patient baristas who listened and delivered on the detailed instructions for the perfect espresso macchiato! Ha! All went above and beyond to listen and deliver, so appreciate the staff, the nice rooms and lobby areas.

Cons:

Hotel needs a severe update. $60 a night for valet parking is ridiculous. Rooms are very outdated. Bathrooms need more amenities. Need no slip bath mats and exhaust fans. Location to river walk is at one end. Pricing is outrageous for condition of rooms. Breakfast is way too expensive!
