We requested an early arrival and when we arrived late (at the 3:00 check in time) our room was not ready. We were panicked bc we were trying to get to a wedding. Also, the carpet in the room had a large stain.

Rooms Need Renovation - I was injured by bed frame.
Pros:

Hotel rooms need to be renovated. I was assigned room 211. This room has 2 beds with different bases. One bed has an old-fashioned metal frame. The other bed has an upholstered platform frame which is showing a lot of wear with the fabric peeling off. When I went to adjust the HVAC temperature, my leg was injured by a piece of the metal frame. The metal frame stuck out from the bed and was covered by the bedspread. Both bed frames need to be replaced. The staff was friendly. The breakfast food was standard Holiday Inn Express fare. The lady preparing the breakfast food kept everything well stocked. I visit the Alcoa/Maryville area every 6 to 8 weeks. I will not be staying at this hotel until they renovate the rooms.
