Super location, friendly, well appointed
Pros:

Staff are so polite, the spa and gym faclities are excellent. Super location- close to all shops, Johnnie Walker, etc.
It was a birthday treat and we got amazing chocolates in the room. Highly recommend

Nothing, other than strong kitchen smells on stairwell

Pros:

Really nice hotel with lovely staff. Nice additional services like borrowing strathberry bags. Offered a pregnancy pillow at check in which was a lovely touch, made my stay there very comfortable. Room was nice and clean.

Fantastic location, wonderful trip - great hotel
Pros:

A stunning hotel with wonderful staff and lovely facilities - there was nothing that was too much trouble. Would highly recommend.

Cons:

The kids could only swim in the pool on 3 x 1hour sessions which was a little frustrating - we went down and were told it was full. They did however extend the kids time and called us half an hour later to come back down. Only a small issue - they even sent an email later apologising... a very small negative.

Pros:

Staff on arrival were extremely friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble, answered all our questions before we had any! Fast and easy check in. Always someone about to say hello to us and ask if we needed anything. Perfectly positioned for seeing New Town and within walking distance of the Old Town, castle and Royal Mile.

Cons:

There was nothing that could have been done to improve our stay, it was perfect. Every aspect, from the staff through to the room and facilities was excellent.

Staff saved the day !!
Pros:

Stayed here new years eve and new years day. After a small glitch to start, the staff were excellent at sorting the problem.
Would like to mention a few of the staff who were excellent and made our stay enjoyable.

The hotel was modern and well decorated. The room was gorgeous, and the pool & changing rooms were clean and modern.

Cons:

The one tiny thing would be that from our room to the spa/pool there wasn’t a direct route so to speak; you had to walk through an area where people would be sat with drinks which was a little odd, but not a major deal for me!

Amazing stay!
Pros:

My partner booked this as a treat for my birthday and we couldn’t have been happier with the hotel, service and staff. From the moment we checked in, the staff were so friendly and helpful, took our luggage for us, gave us recommendations for nice bars/cafes round about and things to see whilst we were in Edinburgh. The gent on reception upgraded our room to 572, top floor with an amazing view of the castle- so appreciated! We used to spa the following morning and it was so clean and relaxing. Overall a great stay and we look forward to coming back!
