Loved this Hampton
Pros:

Loved this Hampton! Very friendly staff and the room was great! The indoor pool was perfect and so relaxing. Our breakfast was delicious. We had to rush out for checkout and left a couple of things in the room. The housekeeper ran out with the items to make sure we didn't leave without everything. Great service!

Breakfast was great...fresh cut up strawberries was a nice addition! Lady serving the breakfast was so kind...went and got me fresh hot water because she felt the canister had been there a while

Excellent local stay for family events in town (multi day stay).
Pros:

Love the cozy stay feel. Always decorated for every holiday no matter the season. Personal, friendly and helpful for every need.

Cons:

No much they can do about it but marajuana smokers in the parking lot.

room was fine, breakfast fine, location fine, everything good except check in. clerk said card declined but were booked over one week in advance with same card. she didn't seem to care one way or the other. card had just been changed as to exp. date and sec. code, but clerk didn't bother to ask about that.

Me and my family from Sanford and Charlotte Nc always stay here. We really enjoy the rooms and always employees.
Pros:

Everything was lovely, I really didn’t like the dog(s) in the Eating area .I understand the pet friendly aspect but still there should be boundaries .

Enjoyed our stay, staff was friendly and the place was wonderfully decorated for fall.
Pros:

The room was updated, clean and the pillows were great! The opposite of Best Western where we stayed a few weeks ago. Everyone was friendly and the property provided a list of restaurants and when they are open, which was great.

Cons:

The breakfast and the area could be better. There should be a sign is that if you're finished with breakfast, let someone else have the table. If you want to talk when others could use a table, go to the lounge area. The little tables in the breakfast area need to be replaced with much bigger tables, so that when it is crowded, you can actually eat there. No bacon but sausage? What if you don't like sausage. Also, label what type of muffins you have to offer. And you really need to get better coffee; it was not very good.

Our stay was PERFECT once we found that the hotel was not enforcing the ridiculous mask rule. :)
Pros:

SUPER friendly and helpful staff!
Linda in the kitchen/dining room was wonderfully sweet!
The pool area was a big hit for our three granddaughters.

Cons:

Our trip down to Marion was clouded by the email I had received from Hampton Inn a couple days before to say that the hotel would be enforcing a "mask rule" for all guests!!!
WHAT??? I was sick over that
and was considering canceling our reservation when I read it. I imagined our holiday weekend with our granddaughters being spoiled by illogical mask restrictions and potential closing of the pool.
