Stayed here for a weekend in December with plan to return following weekend as well.
I stayed here a decade or so ago with fond memories. But the quality and luxury has slipped tremendously.
Check-in is a totally rushed headache with zero service from bellman to the front desk.
Zero ability to properly control room temperature so you either overheat or open window and potentially freeze yourself.
Breakfast is a zoo and really low quality compared to peer hotels.
The "recently renovated" room had touched up - roughly - bathroom, but the room itself was no different than decade+ ago. Totally false advertising. I spent an hour between phone calls and asking 4 different folks at front desk to cancel my room for following weekend. Every request was met with a different response until someone was able to do so. He asked why i was canceling my future room - I said this is not remotely recently renovated and my daughter is really unhappy. HE said yea that renovation was quite a while ago....
Stay elsewhere - way too many good options now for this to charge such prices withsuch poor quality.
The location was very central
The heating didn’t work properly and there were no blankets or duvets. The nearest socket for the kettle was on the floor in the bedroom. They removed the bottle of shower gel on our third day and did not provide a bath mat.
Breakfast was great. Location was great
Great location for seeing the Od City
There is nothing I don’t like
The hotel location is excellent, close to Mamilla, the service at the reception was good, the room was relatively large and spacious, the air conditioner in the room did not work, only blows air, the food level is very low, regarding breakfast, the food is not fresh, and the variety of products is poor, I liked that the hotel has several parking spaces, also in the underground,
We were in Jerusalem for the first time because of a wedding. This is a large well-located hotel and the service was excellent. They have a big dining room with a variety of breakfast selections. Although for us, we had to look carefully for food we are used to eating in the morning. But this issue was one we experienced throughout our trip. They did a great job with our laundry.
The issue we had was a TV that didn't work, but techs sent worked hard to try to fix it. Finally, the TV was replaced with a new one. The heating and A/C system was different than what we were used to. It was very warm when we first entered, and then we learned that the hotel can either provide air conditioning or heat. We were advised to open the window to get cooling, and we turned off the heat. When it was too cold, we closed the window and turned on the heat.
L'emplacement.
Le standing des parties communes
Le personnel serviable
Fenêtre pas hermétique
Bruit important du réfrigérateur dans la chambre
We stayed at the Dan Jerusalem for four days and had a wonderful experience from start to finish. The level of service was outstanding—professional, attentive, and genuinely welcoming throughout our stay. Every interaction felt thoughtful and well-handled, which made the visit especially relaxing and enjoyable.
A special shout-out to Safwan and Tala, who assisted us during check-out. They were incredibly helpful, efficient, and kind, leaving us with a great final impression of the hotel. Their professionalism really stood out and perfectly reflected the high standard of service at the Dan Jerusalem.
We would absolutely recommend this hotel and cannot wait to return.
Close walk to everything but not in the middle of all the chaos.
Room was large and comfortable.

I was promised by the hotel manager on duty and junior staff members a FULL REFUND for the time that I had pre-paid and DID NOT stay in the hotel due to a payment issue I had. The hotel demanded an additional 1000 shekkel upon my arrival after paying in full upfront - due to Vat which was never mentioned in the booking process. We agreed that I would vacate and get a refund for the nights I did not stay over. I paid the Vat under duress for only the ONE night that I stayed over and I promptly moved out. I have emailed Booking.com and the hotel for my money back / refund for the nights I did NOT stay over and instead I received a communication from Booking.com to state that the hotel denied my refund which is what they promised me would NOT happen. This is unethical and dishonest at worst and bad service at best. Meantime I have sent multiple emails and I am still waiting for a refund.
