The location
The facility needs an upgrade.
Booked a king - queen suite for a two night stay while our air ductwork was being replaced at our home nearby. There were three adults and one 5 year old child, and two dogs on our reservation. Upon entering the room there was a very strong odor of what I can only describe as used deep fryer oil. I asked the front desk for some disinfectant spray and they provided something similar. The odor eliminating spray helped but the odor came right back within a few minutes. Once we unpacked our things we started to check out the rest of the room. For a hotel that boasts suites that have a fully equipped kitchen, I was disappointed. There were not enough water glasses, coffee cups, or silverware for the number of people on the reservation. And the silverware that was in the drawer was not clean. We had to ask the front desk for more. There was no dishwashing liquid, dishwasher detergent, dish washing sponge, dishcloth, or dish towels provided in the suite. We had to ask the front desk for that too. The table was not clean, so we washed that ourselves. The refrigerator door was sticky with something dried on it and it was gross. So we washed that ourselves. There were only two chairs in the suite which again, was not enough seating at the table for the number of registered guests. I asked the front desk a total of three times to provide us with additional chairs before one additional chair was provided. After we made and ate our dinner we then discovered that there were only two bath towels and two hand towels provided in the bathroom, which again was not enough for the number of registered guests in our suite. I called the front desk to ask for additional towels and was told some would be provided in the morning. I told the clerk we needed them now so we could all shower. After a short time someone delivered additional bath towels hand towels and washcloths to our room. After my granddaughter had her bath, and we were all walking around without shoes, we discovered all of our feet were very BLACK with filth just from walking on the carpet inside the suite. We also felt that the foul odor in the room was likely coming from the dirty carpet. There was a lot of loud noise on the second day around noon coming from the room above. It sounded like furniture moving and it was very loud. In addition, the phone provided in the room did not work to call the front desk. It gave a busy signal. All my calls to the front desk we made on my personal cell phone. We also purchased Lysol Cleaning wipes from the Raley’s grocery store to do our own cleaning as so cleaning products of any kind were in the suite. Also, the bath product dispensers were not all labeled with their contents. To pay over $160. a night to stay in such substandard accommodations really makes me mad. My feeling about hotels is, that at the very least, the room should be clean and the amenities in the room should reflect the number of persons stated on the reservation. That didn’t even kind of happen in our experience. Luckily our air duct replacement was completed early and so we did not have to stay the second night of our reservation. We were still charged, which I did expect because it was outside of the cancellation window. This was one of the worst experiences at a hotel that I have ever had. I gave this review one star because the beds were comfortable and the sheets were clean.
Locatiom, separate skepping areas in the same room was very nice
Room and bedding smelled not fresh at all, pay to park? Not used to that fee.
As a student in sacramento state, I like the proximity to campus. I also like that. They give you a reduced rate.Because you are a student.
Some rooms have come for your beds than others. Some rooms are also better stocked with items in the kitchen than others.
I am a student so I enjoy the close proximity to sacramento state as well as the reduced pricing for students.
I've stayed here several times so depending on what room you get. Some rooms are better stocked than others. And some rooms have comfy your beds than others.
Great location and accommodations for pets. The couch and kitchen area made it easy for a week stay while working on a move.
The rooms are very outdated and would benefit from some serious renovations.
The rooms were clearly picked up and clean enough, but it’s clear deep cleaning is not a priority.
The pillows were extremely lumpy and the mattress was terribly uncomfortable.
Nothing it was horrible
Nothing was good at alll
I came to check in at 3:17 and they told me my room will be ready in 30 minutes. I came back 2 hours later after running some errands and they said my room was no longer available and switched my reservation to a different room without my for approval. The room they gave us was all the way upstairs at the end of the hallway with a double bed when we requested a king bed being that we were a couple. The beds were super uncomfortably firm & the light in the kitchen does not turn off so it shines in the room all night. The Wi-Fi was also horrible. It kept buffering and we couldn't even enjoy the show. There was also hair on our towels and the fridge made noise all night.
The staff was amazing, friendly, helpful. Great personality and loved the smiles.
The feeling of the room was outdated, but clean.
The location was great for the event.we needed to attend. Many restaurants close by.
The bed was very uncomfortable and we could feel a plastic cover under our sheets. Breakfast was barely okay.
Rate, room with extra room - suite. Location okay but didn’t feel safe to go outside at night.
Old, lacked bathing accessories, water tasted like mildew.
Breakfast was not laid out completely at 7:30 and woman putting food out was cranking toward those of us trying to get something to eat. Minimal choices of food.
