The small coffee cups.lol...
Rhonderful amenities.
No oven.
The hotel was in a decent location and near highways and grocery stores, plus lovely walks along the American River.
They didn't have any ice buckets, which was odd, and my room was under or near a laundry room so there was a constant rumbling of washing machines and tumble dryers.
Location, and room amenities.
Carpets needed shampooed, no housekeeping unless requested.
The staff was extremely nice and supportive.
The parking lot had multiple transients and people were sitting in cars. The security guard was sitting by the front door and not fully engaged with surveilling the lot. It did not feel entirely safe and was there with a colleague and my daughter. There was a situation upon arriving where a gentleman and his son was given a room key that was already occupied, so that was the last red flag for me.
The night clerk was the rudest most unprofessional worker in “hospitality” I’ve ever had the displeasure of interacting with.
I made arrangements over the phone to show up after midnight with the lovely woman running the day reception desk.
First thing this gentleman does however is complain loudly that I just showed up on his break and clearly he was already keyed up for a fight.
I needed to have the “extra” charges explained to me. He went on to insult and scold me at ridiculous length. He erroneously accused me of several things in the process of tying to sort it out.
If it wasn’t close to 1:00 AM at that point I would have just canceled my rez and walked out. He had me over a barrel and made the best of his opportunity to lay into me.
Insane power trip. I hope management reads this.
Extremely rude staff.
