Professional property host/manager
Great property and staff was more than excellent!
Excellent location andnstaff
Reception made me wait for 45min calling his manager to confirm my booking, he was arguing with me unnecessarily when asked why making me wait for longtime.
I enjoy it stop there 2 nights nice and quiet got good night sleep
The staff was very responsive and helpful. Food was good, view was beautiful. I recommend it
I loved the welcoming staff, stay, free breakfast, and beautiful scenery. 10/10 would recommend, good price.
Very relaxing and comfortable. Nice atmosphere, close to the ocean. Very clean rooms and nice. Highly recommended. Great room service
Had the Ocean view. Very clean big room. Bathroom is spacious with a big shower & tub. Balacony has a nice view but some palm trees block some view. Walkable distance to the beach/ocean, have easy excess to pools, you can eat on the beach, also has restaurants, SPA area, breakfast until i believe 10am. High Recommended. Comfortable.Clean.

They have no parking for customers
The property was beautifully decorated (interior) and our room was spacious with enormous windows and a huge lovely bathroom. The bed was comfortable and the terrace and view were unmatched. Edgar, the manager, was SO kind and helpful - a very hands-on, hard-working man who made a huge impact on our experience.
The staff were very nice and we loved talking with them in the local languages. The view is amazing. I love the poolside cats! Jéréjéf! Be benen yoon.
The internet was poor when it did work. Some days there was no internet for the entire day. There are vagrants walking around and sunbathing on the property everyday. The owners seem to allow this in exchange for services they may receive from some of individuals. I would never stay here again.
The interior decor of the hotel was very nice and the room and bathroom nicely designed but ants, spiders and cockroaches also lived there. I got food poisoning from room service with 24 hours of immediate vomiting of their benachin dish and 72 hours of diarrhea. Their breakfast was so so but their customer service left a lot to be desired. The beach at the bottom of the steps leading from the hotel had dogs pooping near the water, boys washing sheep in the ocean and cows wandering around. Very unsightly eyesore.. Yuck.
Very relaxing , quiet , enjoying the sea -view and the Good food from the restaurant
I allways enjoy my stay at kasumai and looking forward to my next stay with the family
Calm and Relaxing stay
I spent four nights at the Kasumai, and found the owner, a former shipping Captain from Holland, to be a wonderful person. Many things can be a challenge in the Gambia, from finding an ATM that works for you, taxi drivers, good restaurants, etc. The owner has hired wonderful Gambians who are kind, professional and speak multiple languages. The Kasumai sits next to the monkey sanctuary where you can walk, has a nice beachside bar, and a great restaurant serving fish, steak and ribs. Every meal, every interaction with the team at Kasumai was great. They also have a security guard at the front, 24/7, and only let known guests or trusted local people onto the grounds. The only challenging thing I found was the pot hole ridden road getting to the Kasumai. Many roads around the hotel are challenging. Finally, there is a High Street/Restaurant row 1.5 miles away, which I walked to each day. Very safe. Dave from Minneapolis, USA
Really nice hotel with lovely staff, great outlook on the sea and garden including swimming pool. Nice place to eat next door .Bijilo is outside the main tourist strip so few hassles and nicer people.
The suites were nice. The view is beautiful and the beach is great. Steakhouse was pretty bad, couldn’t even cut the steak. Service at all the restaurants were extremely slow and breakfast is no good.
I enjoy my stay , it s was relaxing 😌 but I am complaining again about the breakfast organization, it should be more attractive and the table used should be clean after each guest
