This was such a fantastic group of people to host an event with. Their food and Bev coordinator during our event was so on it and flexible. Him and David and team were on top of making our event such a success. But the little things just added up to so much here - the kindest people you will ever meet greeted everyone and Josh S (valet) in particular made it feel like you were so welcome and safe here— he also ensured safety for all of our guests and was the friendliest face to have welcome you in.

Thank you so much to this entire team. This is one of those hotels you can just trust to crush it. We will host many more events here!

Friends & I stopped by the restaurant at the Bidwell and had an amazing experience. Anna, our server was knowledgeable about the menu, super friendly & funny. I had the salmon, which was perfectly cooked. Jake also introduced us to an informative tasting of local beer & wine that greatly enhanced our trip to Portland! Everyone was great and made a point of acknowledging me. Josh S. remembers everyone’s name which is amazing to be treated by name when you come down in the morning and come back 8 hours later. The gym is really well appointed for such a small hotel. Many good restaurants around and walkable. I highly recommend.

What a location and what an atmosphere! This place is great! The incredible team who took care of my wife and I as we celebrated our wedding. The culinary and banquet team provided an outstanding dinner and welcomed us like family! The room was spectacular and the front desk team welcomed us for our evening and breakfast the next day in the High Horse lounge. I don't know where to begin with the thanks from Jacob the GM, to Josh, Desiree, Ellie, Kendall, Vienna, and the bartender in High Horse who helped get us connected with the catering team when we visited (and took care of us for the breakfast the day after the dinner).

I travel frequently to Portland for business and I always stay at the Bidwell. The staff is always cheerful and attentive. The lounge has amazing breakfast, and Yenifer and Juan Carlos are always there to elevate your experience with a bright smile. Really appreciate the service!

Stayed here for work Jan 11-15. Had a great experience. Tom, Derek and Tamara were such welcoming greeters.
Had nice conversations with them about places to eat nearby. The welcome beverage is a nice touch.

One of the highlights of my stay is the M‑Lounge. I often stop in for the complimentary breakfast, coffee, and snacks, and it has become my go‑to spot for meeting colleagues or taking calls. The team that manages the lounge, Yenifer and Juan Carlos, is simply fantastic. Their warm, friendly, and attentive approach makes every visit enjoyable and helps create a sense of comfort when traveling for work.

The Bidwell has become my home base in Portland, and I look forward to each stay. Highly recommended for both business and leisure travelers.

My wife and I had a great three-night stay at The Bidwell Marriott. The location is ideal in downtown Portland close to a lot of eateries and shopping and in walkable distance to most attractions. It's also only a 20-30m drive from Portland's airport. Check-in was friendly and efficient. Our corner king room on the top floor (20th) was very clean and quiet, it had a beautiful view over the city and the river, nicely curated decoration and a comfy seating corner. It would have been nice to have more storage, a bathtub and more substantial bedding (we may have been able to request the latter -- not enough of an annoyance for us to try), but overall, we really liked our room and thought it was a good value for the price. We had breakfast in the lounge all three mornings and it had a smaller but good selection. The staff in particular was very nice, attentive and happy to accommodate requests.

This is our third stay here at the Bidwell and it’s gets better every single time. Between the comfortable rooms, the great location and delicious food (yes, seriously for someone who stays 80+ nights a year a hotels), I can’t recommend The Bidwell enough when in Portland. The atmosphere brings Portland the NW into the hotel making the stay more special.

The best part of our experience is the staff, without a doubt. From the moment you step onto the curb (literally, Josh S. big shoutout to you for making us feel so welcomed from the beginning, remembering our names throughout the stay and checking in) to Tom and the team at the front desk (welcome, getting us settled, recommendations, answered questions), Juan Carlos (in the M Lounge preparing food and checking in to make sure I got all I needed), and others I’m forgetting. Bidwell had some all-stars there and truly, takes the experience to the next level.

Worth every penny for this elevated experience and one of my favorite Marriott properties!

We had a wonderful stay at the Marriott Bidwell in Portland OR! A big part of that was the excellent staff working there. In particular, Josh S was very warm and professional at all times. Every morning at the M club breakfast, he would grab a highchair and set it up for our small child. He would then hold our son and play with him while we grabbed our breakfast, he was very kind and we looked forward to seeing Josh every day. We would definitely return to this hotel because of the exceptional service provided by the house staff like Josh S!

Staying at The Bidwell Hotel is always a treat, but this visit truly felt next-level thanks to the incredible staff. Huge shoutout to Tom at the front desk, who went above and beyond when I needed help fixing a reservation and making a brand-new one on the fly. He was calm, kind, endlessly accommodating, and genuinely made me feel taken care of. I honestly didn’t want to leave—I felt like Beyoncé. My room was incredible...clean, well appointed (as always). Those corner rooms are big and the view is just stunning. And you won't beat the value that you're getting for the money. Also, don't forget to visit the bar! Great cocktails and such a fabulous bartender...we totally bonded over our love of cats.

The team went out of their way to be warm and helpful. Multiple requests for additional coffee supplies arrived at our door in minutes. They advertised a “portable art set” as a perk and we landed on a Spirograph, which is WAY harder than the TV commercials made it seem. lol
Tamara served beer and NA kombucha in the lobby. She made sure we had our dinner spot and route picked out. It’s Portland, so the views are beautiful 360. It was NYE and I am a Bonvoy member. I was hoping for an upgrade room or view, but I got the room I paid for. Room was clean. The lower down the shower wall you looked, the dirtier the grout was. But the shower was clean enough. Bed was super comfortable. Room was quiet. I also forgot my phone charger and they had a converter set in the little store for $15. It was nice not to be overcharged for something like that.

This is a lovely property with a sophisticated modern style punctuated by attentiveness of Tom & Derek who greeted my crew & I upon arrival & checked us in. Immediately I felt their authentic welcome. Their open energy & personalities set the tone as to what was to be expected during my stay. I was not disappointed!

My room was well organized, very well lighted with modern furnishings. The appliances were in good working order & quiet (nothing is more annoying than a loud fridge or a/c in a hotel room).

The restaurant has a good food with reasonable prices. including several menued vegan & gluten free options.

The Bidwell is downtown…a walkable location perfect for those who enjoy getting out & exploring. Lots of restaurants, a market, & shops nearby.

My stay was comfortable & relaxing. This Bonvoy property will always be my first choice whenever I’m in Portland, no matter my travel purpose.

Have you ever really experienced organizational care for the customer? Do yourself a favor and stay at the Bidwell. Our visit started with the Valet helping us with all luggage and car parking knowing in my arrival haste I had no money to tip. Didn’t matter. Just wanted us to be cared for. On to the night/early am team. Repeatedly met our needs (late gift without wrap, finding a lost wallet in our car) with smiles and a helpful suggestion. Not to mention great conversation at 5 am when looking to let my wife and daughter sleep. Every employee we met asked us if they could do anything for us and gave wishes of having a great day. Do yourself a favor and stay at the Bidwell.
