Extended Stay America Suites - Charleston - Airport

The staff was rude and denied my stay because of my dog. No one ever answered the phone for me or booking.com. They said they didn’t care that my mom, dog and I didn’t have a place to stay at 3 in the morning. I called 3times right after booking @830pm to find out what I needed to do since I would not be there til 3am. I even messaged on the app and got no response. And my refund is delayed because of course they are not answering the phone for booking.com

The rooms were not to a standard of clean I would have personally liked. There’s was an odd smell. The bathroom door didn’t close properly and the general place would benefit from a makeover. The plumbing was became blocked and we were given a plunger to fix the issue. The sink then blocked itself. We mentioned this in the morning as was told the maintenance guy was t in until the following morning and could we put up with the blocked sink. This isn’t good customer service. When we re mentioned the bathroom door didn’t close we were offered another room. This room wasn’t spotlessly clean either but was nice than the room before! As for the sofa beds in both rooms, you’d get more comfort from a cardboard box. The mattresses were very thin, they were marked and we had to ask for sheets. We asked for a few extra in the end to pad the bed out.
The staff were a mixed bag of polite and rude.

Cockroaches were crawling all over me throughout the entire night. I didn’t sleep at all because I had to keep taking them out of my bed and off of myself. Never book this place — it was absolutely horrible. There was a terrible smell, and everything was awful from start to finish.

Everything. The place was filthy and had bed bugs on the entire 2nd floor. This hotel needs to be condemned. To make matters worse, the fire alarm kept going off from other residents negligence in cooking within there rooms. Fire dept was called at least 3 times. No one was attending for clean towels or toilet paper. Good thing Walmart was just up the block. Just horrible, highly recommend to avoid at all costs.

Roaches all over the place and the whole building smells like an ashtray.

The location and all the people standing outside. The facility wasn't clean to the best it could be.

I did not like the roaches in the bathroom and the kitchen area floor. Im so glad I moved the food inside the refrigerator. When I was walking to tell staff, it was a roach crawling on the hallway wall. The receptionist took my room key immediately after I report the issues. She checked me out before I was ready to leave, and before check out time at 11:00 am.
