Great hotel in Hanoi, very nice for a few days in the Old Quater.
Pros:

Nice hotel, good location in the old Quarter, walking distance to night market held Friday, Saturday and Sundays. Nice sky bar and pool (pool was larger than most star-rated hotels). The staff were kind & helpful. Breakfast was more than adequate. We had a reasonably sized balcony with our room, though there was no furniture on it (could be for safety reasons). The room was excellent, with an extra-large bed, a beautiful bathroom, a shower, a bathtub, a desk, a safe, and a large closet; very spacious. The room again was larger than most hotels with the same rating. I would stay here again and recommend it.

Cons:

No complaints from us, although there is only one elevator; inpatient Westerners complained! I am a Westerner to avoid any hate!

De mensen die er werkten heel vriendelijk en het hotel was goed schoon en had een fijne uitstraling

Ik had gehoopt iets meer gebruik te kunnen maken van het dakterras. Die zag er leuk en gezellig uit maar niet zoveel te krijgen qua drinken of snack

Sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt in Hanoi
Pros:

Hanoi selbst wirkt an vielen Stellen sehr überladen und unstrukturiert – genau deshalb ist eine gut gewählte Unterkunft umso wichtiger.

Das Soleil Boutique Hotel hat eine sehr gute Lage – zentral und nur wenige Gehminuten von der Train Street entfernt.

Die Zimmer sind geräumig, modern eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Netflix und Prime sind verfügbar und funktionieren problemlos. Ein Balkon ist ebenfalls vorhanden.

Die Dachterrasse mit kleinem Pool bietet eine schöne Aussicht über die Stadt und ist ein angenehmer Ort zum Entspannen. Die Bar ist eher klein, hat aber alles Nötige wie Bier und klassische Drinks.

Besonders hervorzuheben ist das Team an der Rezeption: sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und immer bereit, bei Restaurantreservierungen oder Tipps zu unterstützen.

Klare Empfehlung – ich würde jederzeit wiederkommen!

A good location hotel to stay near Old Quarter market. Great bfast buffet and easy check in and out process

Lovely stay on the edge of Old Quarter. Perfect way to start our Vietnam trip.
Pros:

We loved our stay at Soleil Hotel in the Old Quarter in Hanoi. This was our first trip to Vietnam and Hanoi was our first location, so they were a great start to our trip. They helped us in coordinating our airport pick ups and a beautiful Catamaran Day Cruise of Ha Long Bay, which really helped us in avoiding any scams or unpleasant surprises. Once we reached Soleil, everything within Old Quarter is a short walk (5 - 20 minutes). We were able to comfortably explore the night market, train street and Hoan Kiem Lake at our own pace. Staying in Old Quarter is definitely the way to go if in Hanoi.
Their staff is super attentive and helpful, connecting with us on whatsapp much before the trip and aiding us with any questions we have. There is no pressure in the upselling as well. They provide options and then it's completely up to us if we want to take them up. We loved our stay and would love to come back to Hanoi again.

Wonderful hotel with exceptional service
Pros:

We loved our stay at Soleil. We stayed in the family suite with our two young boys and it was perfect. The hotel is very clean and rooms are quite nice. We loved the rooftop pool and bar area. Above all else, you cannot beat the customer service at this hotel. Every person went above and beyond to make our stay special. Highly recommend!

Outstanding staff, perfect location
Pros:

I had a really great stay at Hotel Soleil Boutique in Hanoi. The hotel itself was very comfortable, clean, and well set up, and the location is ideal if you want to be right in the middle of the city. It’s busy and lively outside, but that’s exactly what you expect (and want) from central Hanoi.

What really stood out though was the staff. Everyone was friendly and helpful, but one member of the reception team in particular went completely above and beyond for me. I was having trouble getting Zalo working so I could reconnect with a pottery supplier in Bat Trang, and he genuinely went out of his way to help. He even used his own phone, topping up credit at his own expense to try and get my account verified. When that didn’t work, he reached out directly through his own Zalo contacts and managed to get the supplier to contact me via WhatsApp/email instead.

He didn’t just stop there either, he stayed in touch with me on WhatsApp afterwards to make sure everything was sorted. That level of care and effort is rare and really made a difference to my trip.

Overall, a very comfortable stay with outstanding service. I’d definitely recommend it, especially if you value genuinely helpful staff.
