Pros:

The apt is a large, open space - great for 4 people! Great for walking to many delicious restaurants and tours and diff areas. As mentioned, the entrance is in an alley, but it’s fine, behind businesses so a little dirty, but not unsafe. The apt & space and location make it all worth it. So handy to be across street from Walgreens for few grocery items too. Be prepared for the entrance, and all is good!

One problem
Pros:

Overall, it was a decent place that I would consider staying at again. It was huge and right within walking distance to everything we wanted to go to. There were some cleanliness issues, like hair in the shower and crumbs on the floor, but we were able to clean it and move on.

My only issue was check out day. The cleaning lady sat in the narrow hallway with her son and all of her items (giant bags for bedding and a red wagon for cleaning supplies). She was there all morning as we could hear her and her son when we woke up at 9am. When we went to leave the place and pack up our car, she didn’t move a muscle so we were forced to carry all of bags and suitcases down an even more narrow path to the door. Then, her wagon was blocking the door to where we couldn’t even fit our suitcases through the door. We had to ask her to move her stuff multiple times which was met with moving it an inch away from the door. Her son was still sitting on the stairs, on his phone. It was extremely frustrating and dangerous as we almost fell down the stairs by having her stuff blocking the entire steps.

Other than the check out, we loved the space and the fact that noise machines and ear plugs were provided due to city noise.

Excellent stay!
Pros:

We loved our stay at Sonder. It was spacious and clean. We were in the middle of all the fun. We were given earplugs and sound machines to help us sleep, but I didn’t even think it was loud, considering the apartment is in the middle of Downtown Savannah. We would definitely stay with Sonder again.

Bad To stay, I would not recommend it
Pros:

First of all the parking was five blocks away, which you never told us that to get in the building and you gotta go through it alleyway which is dangerous during the day or at night then there was construction going on waking us up early in the morning, we really couldn’t drive anywhere because we had to Walk five blocks just to pick up the car and then to return it so we didn’t even bother early cause I was so angry and I would never use it again

Don't do it!
Pros:

Pine floors are very noisy. Alley way entrance is scary at night and during the day full of construction work (making loading and unloading your car difficult). Parking option is far to walk. Soap/toiletries smell awful and showers did not feel clean. Kitchen did not feel clean. Overall I could not wait to get out of there.

Also note - no elevator, the unit is on the second floor and requires a lot of effort if moving lots of luggage (especially with leaving your car in the laneway).

Pros:

The property is conveniently located within the historic district. It was not cleaned thoroughly as there were ants on the rug in the living room and huge pieces of hairs in the shower. However, the trip turned terrible once I spotted a cockroach in the kitchen on my last day. The response from both Sonder and Expedia have not been ideal nor emphatic to this situation. It's disappointing how customer service is completely lacking with these larger companies.

Some Ups and Some Downs
Pros:

Nice looking unit in great area (entering from the W Congress alley is sketchy at night). Walking distance to the River front area, The Old Pink House, Mrs Wilkes, JW Marriott. Bathrooms are small but very nicely redone. Beds are pretty good (memory foam type), but good luck getting to sleep with the noise....

Problems:

1. NOISE from street and neighbors was crazy, late into the evening - 2am the first night. They provide earplugs, which is a really bad sign when you first arrive. Lots of loud cars cruise by the unit (on Broughton) at all hours of the day and night - music as well as exhaust noise - a bit like being a drag race.

2. NO CABLE TV AT ALL. You have to google "cast" something from your phone or laptop so no news, current shows, etc unless you have a subscription and if you don't have the cast app on your phone, you have to pay for that if more than 3 days. You can cast from google on a laptop fairly easily, but you still need the content to cast.

3. Very squeaky floor. You can't walk around the living area if anyone else is trying to sleep anywhere in the unit.

4. Parking is terrible, but that really goes for all of Savannah, not just this unit. You should park 4 blocks away in the deck near the courthouse at 123 Montgomery street. Reasonable and seems to be safe to walk there in the daylight.

5. No corkscrew so if you like wine, bring your own.

Probably best for younger crowd that will be out until late night.

Pros:

The apartment was huge and fit our group of 6 really well! Everything was clean and checking in was so easy- we just received a code for the door and we were in! Everyone enjoyed our stay, the decor was really nice and you could not beat the location.
