Pool was good, location was good, and the funicular railway to get up to the rooms was brilliant!
Room and bathroom was a bit old and dated, but was fine for a few nights.
The bar and restaurant next door is good too.
The staff made a lot of noise in the mornings while cleaning, talking to each other at a shouting volume. It woke me up on occasions.
The staff need to be quiet in the mornings.
Spacious room with a beautiful sea view if you're on upper floors.
I also loved the cable car, such a fun way to get to your room.
AirCon worked well and so did the fridge.
Troppo, the restaurant next door is THE added value to King Sal (same owner)
No free wifi in the room.
Gets noisy ont the weekend.
The plumbing could use some repair.
The hotel is undergoing major renovations which is great - we could have used a little bit of warning though.
Great place to stay, very central. The new owners of the hotel were very hospitable and are making some needed upgrades.
The room was very clean with a comfortable new bed and bed linen,
Loved the bar restaurant Troppo, all the staff was fantastic food at the restaurant was fantastic.
Looking forward to my next visit to Honiara and I will stay at the King Solomon.
The cable car did not work during most of our stay, which was very inconvenient.
Interesting cable car taking you to your room. Hotel design is lovely and unique.
Hotel is going through a renovation so mess everywhere…
How friendly the staff were, the room we had
How long it took for food to be delivered
Convenient location. Good restaurant. Nice pizzas.
Didn't always have hot water in the shower.
I just love the dinner
Everything. Wifi is not free, I had to pay for it. The room was even worse, old rattling aircon that wasn't working, bathroom was old without any bathroom mats, fan was even louder when I switched it on. Everything looked old and not the value of money. Will not be using this hotel again. A total waste of money.
Close to downtown area, they got Restaurant at first floor.
Wi-fi was 10 dollars a day. They depend on Solar panel means you’re going to take a cold shower, upstairs of my room somebody was stomping day and night, I believe local people rent a room at the hotel, he wouldn’t be traveler like me
Central location, bar food was decent. Airport shuttle available
Arrived and was told they had overbooked and would not be able to have the two rooms I paid for. After debate, two rooms were provided. Facilities advertised such as gym did not exist, gym has been gutted and is empty. Rubbish from previous guest in bedside table, stray dogs and cats throughout walkways. Wifi non existent unless you pay. Extremely loud music Friday and Saturday nights,
Absolutely nothing good about this hotel. Their advertising is a lie
The rooms were filthy. Black mold all over the shower. Slimy shower curtin. Horrible lumpy hard pillows. I had to use my neck pillow I use for the airplane to lay my head on at night. The towels were grey and filthy instead of a clean towel. Splashes of yellow red and brown muck filth all up the skirting boards and walls . Paint peeling off walls. The rooms are brown- the floor is brown- the bed cover is brown- the desks are brown. There is no ambiance what so ever in the room. There is no wifi in the room. There is not even wifi in the breakfast restaurant area. It’s only available in the front reception. Even after travelling up to the room on this weird train/escalator thing there is still a heap of stairs to walk up to get to the disgusting room. I was to stay 7 night but I left first thing in the morning on my second day. The place is expensive and horrible. The hotel thinks it’s ok to blast music until 1am even when the dance area is bone dry empty. WARNING : do not book here- Even if the king Solomon paid people to stay…DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT STAYING HERE. Get a BNB instead
Location was good, good view, room was clean, had microwave
Stale breakfast food
Felt unsafe in the hotel
Cable car and stairs felt dangerous
Generally poor service
Wifi was extra and expensive
In room kettle was dirty and disgusting
Location
Old unrenovated ,rooms not cleaned , only 1-2 cleaners, took too long, water not hot , noisy couldn’t sleep
Great friendly and helpful staff who made the stay a pleasant one.
Climbing up the stairs to the room level was a bit of a tedius one and the slide rail car was busy most times I needed to use it. The general accomodation facilities/grounds look well worn and in need of a facelift.
I like the location and the helpful staff. My room was cleaned every day and I was given a fresh towel.
Sometimes the cable car didn’t work properly.
