Leylak Suite

I am just going to mention facts here, so readers can decide for themselves:

The bathroom tap leaked water on the countertop if you don't close it with force so the bathroom flooded on the first night, ruining our sleep. Staff did not seem bothered, just told us to close it really tightly. We could see the bathroom unit was ruined from previous leaks.

Likewise the kitchen tap was loose and this was not fixed despite reporting it twice. The iron kept tripping the electrics. We had to order a replacement.
We had to request hand towels and more tea cups, as these were not provided (there was one tea cup in the cupboard)
There is no safe/security box. Staff member confirmed this.
The reception are security guards for the whole building, not staff for Leylak suites.
The apartment listing says they provide bottled water, a safe, cleaning supplies, cookware and crockery however this was not the case. For example, the was one teacup, one stew pot, no utensils. I had to make an omelette in a stew pot and flip it with a knife. Toilet roll was rationed for only 4 rolls for a whole week, for a family of 4. We had to buy our supplies for example tea, coffee, water and sugar. There was no safe - confirmed by staff - so we had to carry passports and money at all times.
Thankfully istanbul is a great city, so we stayed out mostly but at night there were children in neighbouring apartments running around at all hours; the rooms are not soundproof as described in the listing.

Die Unterkunft wird für 7 Personen angeboten, ist jedoch nicht einmal für 5 Personen ausreichend ausgestattet. Wenn man selbst kochen möchte, stellt die Küche ein großes Problem dar, da es kaum Geschirr oder Utensilien gibt. Es fehlen grundlegende Dinge wie Töpfe, Pfannen, vernünftige Messer, Gläser, Besteck, eine Teekanne und sogar Geschirr für das Frühstück. Lediglich eine sehr kleine Pfanne und ein kleiner Kochtopf sind vorhanden, die nicht einmal für zwei Personen ausreichend sind.

Die Sauberkeit der Wohnung war katastrophal: Bettwäsche und Handtücher waren voller Lippenstift, Blutflecken und anderen Flecken. In jeder Ecke lag Staub, und der Sofabezug war auch schmutzig und fleckig.

Auch die Lage der Wohnung ist alles andere als ideal, insbesondere für Familien mit Kindern oder ältere Menschen, da der Weg nach Taksim über einen steilen Berg führt.
Diese Unterkunft war definitiv verschwendetes Geld!!

Nice clean apartment near Taksim Square. Have to walk uphill which can be difficult with children.

It's save and clean but, the staff are very helpful, the only thing that I didn't like The street is a strong slope

The property is advertised as "Luxury appartments"... I can assure you, it isn't.

The showers have bits of the ceiling falling on your head while you shower. I have photos to back it up. The ceilings are wet and flakey.

When I complained about it, we were shown two other rooms, they also had the same problem but at a lesser degree, so we changed to the best of the bad.

The beds were not comfortable in either of the appartments we stayed in, in fact they even made noises as we turned at night.

The dishes and utensils are insufficient... no bowls or tea spoons, to start with.

It is situated in the back streets, where there are constant noises from construction machinary ( jackhammers after 11pm and all hours). People fighting and making noises outside. It's a steep road so cars are constantly accelerating to get up.

The only good thing was, that the Iranian housekeeper (with very little English) was very attentative.

Security in the lobby are diligent at their job also.

I wouldn't recommend staying there, at all.

The pool is only 8m x 2.5m wide. Don't let the pictures in on the internet fool you, this place isn't anywhere near luxury, at all.

The front desk personnel was very helpful and made our stay more comfortable. Accommodations were made for out group.

L’appartement était très salle, draps et lits pas confortables et salle. Aucun équipement dans la cuisine ! Le ménage est très mal fait sols collants.les turques très agressifs envers les touristes !!!!

Whether was perfect for the time of year , location of the hotel was very good. Staff were so friendly.

The place is very clean and approach is convenient. Not far from city attractions and its good choice travelling with family. Adel is owner of this apartment and he has been very helpful. Check in was fast.
