Very friendly and helpful staff. Comfy and clean bed with crisp white cotton sheets.
The room was a bit dated and tired, and the carpets could do with a deep clean.

Cobwebs everywhere, dusty, not clean (stained pillows), manager was alright but when I asked for a refund because i found drug scales behind the tv
Near to the shops
More basic than 1st expected and the photo made it look like it is in it's own grounds, when actually it is across the road from the local park.
The bathroom door wouldn't close, you couldn't raise the bathroom blind, the room entrance door doesn't fit properly which made you think someone was going to come into your room when other guests came onto the same floor as you. There was no air con and no room fan so the room was stifling which made it even more uncomfortable. Not enough hangers for clothes and an open hanging area which made the room look scruffy. No option for breakfast at all, so had to go into the town to find a cafe or takeaway. All this after paying for a superior king room.
The gentleman on reception was very helpful.
No parking. There was obviously a leak from bathroom and carpet in the adjacent room was badly stained. Cobwebs in the bathroom. The carpet in the main part of the room was sticky. Was advised no food available. Fridge did not get cold and with the extreme hot weather we have recenyly experienced it would gave been appreciated. The room was extremely stuffy and I was unable to open the window and lock it open and as the room was on the ground floor and facing the main road.
Staff were welcoming and the bedding was clean.
Some TLC needed in the rooms. The carpet was stained and so was the side of the sofa bed. This appeared like it could have been from a leak or flood in the bathroom but didn’t look great. Curtains didn’t have tie backs. The corridor was also very noisy during the night. Guests were banging doors.

I stayed at the Kings Park Hotel in Retford from Monday 15th June to Friday 19th June.
My stay was extremely disappointing. The hotel is under new ownership since I last stayed.
The room was adequate but the radiator was hanging off the wall, as was the toilet roll fittings in the bathroom. The drain in the shower was not fixed and moved about in the shower.
Despite putting the notice out for my room to be serviced. It never was.
The hotels general appearance is shabby, stained and worn stair carpets and walls all marked and scuffed.
There is no breakfast or dinner service either, despite the leaflet issued on arrival stating breakfast and dinner times.
All together not an enjoyable stay. I will not be returning to this hotel.
Easy check in. Friendly welcome from knowledgeable staff.
