One Night Stand..it. Longer trip go elsewhere!
Pros:

Location was excellent. A short walk from The Royal Mile and Victoria Street. Also, just 5 minutes from Waverly station by car which made arrival and departure via uber stress free.

Staff was very kind and made check-in / check-out a breeze.

Room was very small and had we been staying for more than one night we would have needed to make a change to have more space, seating, and natural light.

I enjoyed the breakfast hamper; however, we were never offered milk & cookies as stated on my booking package.

Stunning decor if a little cramped
Pros:

We visited this hotel as part of my wife's 50th birthday celebrations and we were made extremely welcome on booking in and enjoyed our complimentary glasses of Prosecco. I am not a big Prosecco fan but enjoyed the welcome and our first impressions were extremely positive.
The decor is stunning, dark wood walls with lush burgundy drapes. We loved the winding corridors, dark and atmospheric which led to our room.
The room, sorry, was a bit disappointing. The four poster bed was stunning but the room was so small there was barely any room for anything else.if you sleep on the far side like what i do you have to squeeze round the side of the bed. It is extremely cozy though and with the drapes round the bed closed makes it pitch black with really adds to the atmosphere. There is little to no storage for clothes/toiletries.
The bathroom was small as well but as I don't spend much time in the bathroom, not a big issue.
The highlight is the cocktails, they were magnificent. They all looked terrific but expensive so we only had 2 each. I would say they are worth it though, we enjoyed them immensely, so much so that next time we are in Edinburgh we will be popping in for a few more off the menu.
We loved the cookies and milk at the end of the night, although when it is advertised as a butler delivering them I expected the whole suit and tails, not just staff dressed casually. This is perhaps my too high expectations as my wife didn't seem to mind.
The breakfast was disappointing, we had to chase them up as it hadn't arrived at the time arranged. 1 croissant each was a bit cheap we thought, 2 would be perfect. My coffee was lukewarm while my wife's was late to arrive but hot at least. We both enjoyed the yogurt with granola and biscuits though.
Overall, I feel it is worth a visit but it is a one and done for me and not more than a one night stay recommended.

Pros:

Place was not as advertised for anything short of an expensive quickie. Pictures are alluring. Rooms are so small that we had to walk on our baggage to get around. Beds definitely not queens. Thought it would be entertaining so we booked for two nights at the end of a Scotland trip. Checked out early the next morning and were told we would be contacted by 'the office manager" for a refund for the second night. Still waiting. Stay away unless you enjoy tight quarters with dark stained walls and fabrics. The people before you might have left some souvenirs.

BEWARE NO WINDOWS IN ANY ROOMS- FAKE WINDOWS!
Pros:

My husband and I booked two nights at the House of Gods, Edinburgh. Upon arrival we were greeted by lovely staff and given a complimentary glass of Prosecco before being shown to our room.
The decor was dark and opulent and certainly had the wow factor....which very quickly subsided upon the realisation that the tiny (but gorgeous) dark room had no window! It was a fake window/prop with a light behind it.
Sadly, the combination of 'tiny room' and 'no window' triggered my claustrophobia and we had to leave the windowless dark box and find another hotel.
We'd never have booked had there been more transparency on website regarding WINDOWLESS ROOMS.
We had paid for two days and got refunded one day only.

Good but room for improvement
Pros:

We booked the treat me like I'm famous experience as part of our stay as it was for a wedding anniversary. The room itself did give the vibe of being a railway carriage but it was very small. That's fine as obviously it fits with the theme but it meant there wasn't a lot of room to move about. In theory the balloons on the bed is a nice touch but there is then nowhere to put them. We found hairs on the cushions and so had to go into the bar while they changed the bedding, really something that should be checked for when the bed is made up but they were quick. The bathroom is a wet room but is so small that when we had a shower the next morning the whole floor was wet as there's not enough of a tilt to the floor to drain off. The TV also stopped working properly which wasn't a major problem but would've been nice if it had worked all night, might have been an issue with the WiFi as it was the apps we were trying to watch. The cocktails are lovely at the bar and the extras like the mimosa with breakfast is a nice treat. The breakfast hamper was o.k, we only had the croissants so maybe give people a choice of what they want in them, additionally there is nowhere to eat so you're sat on the bed with nothing but a napkin to use. All in all we enjoyed it but it wasn't quite as good as I thought it would be and I dont think I'd stay again though I would go for drinks. I would recommend staying in one of the larger rooms. Staff were lovely and friendly and couldn't do enough.

Swanky Experience
Pros:

Stayed two nights and was not disappointed. Service was outstanding from all aspects. The room was not huge, but the bed was amazingly comfortable. Don't forget to try all the switches in the room, you may be pleasantly surprised.

Poor experience
Pros:

My partner and I had a terrible night stay here. Our room was tiny, smelled of mould and there was obvious mould in the room and bathroom. The bathroom was more of a wet room and when you shower everything was soaked. The smell of the room was the main issue my partner ended up sitting in reception majority of the night due to being unable breath in the actual room due to health issues and the mould smell. I’m 6 months pregnant and spent the night worrying about that side of things. There was obvious mould on the ceiling of the room and the cleanliness overall wasn’t great.
The staff I have to say were very nice and did offer extras as an apology however there wasn’t another room option when we asked and to be honest if my partner and I had a way of getting home in the early hours we would have left and not stayed. I still can’t get over the room smelling so bad and the fact everything in the room was moist due to clear ventilation issues. We were offered 30% refund which to me personally wasn’t good enough considering the cost of a room here on a Saturday night, neither of us slept and were put in unhealthy living conditions. The breakfast in the morning which was what appeared to compare to a millar corner yoghurt, cheap watery coffee, a stale pastry, 150mls of apple juice and some shortbread for £20 PER person was absolute diabolical. I would not waste money staying here it is not worth the visit. Very disappointed.

Is it worth the money??
Pros:

Firstly, the decor is lovely. Corridors too dark tho and if there was a fire good luck finding your way out, we walked in a circle 🤣. Room way to small! Nowhere to eat breakfast so you get a small hamper in your room and you need to eat it sitting on the bed - no seats/table. Also not the best breakfast for money - at least add a hot filled roll! Staff are lovely and friendly. For the money they should give you the treats in the room for free - for all it would cost and would feel more of a luxury stay. All in all, enjoyed our stay but it is very overpriced which could lead to disappointment x

Must visit hotel
Pros:

Had an amazing stay for 2 nights in Edinburgh! The hotel itself is very unique and characteristic, with beautiful decor and wonderful staff who go above and beyond to create a personalised experience. Upon entry we were greeted by Rishi who was super helpful and was even on hand to give us advice whilst out and about in the city. The hotel uses WhatsApp to communicate with you instantly hence you’re provided with really quick room service. We chose the “Mimosa Mornings” package which included a glass of prosecco on arrival, chocolates in the room and a butler delivered breakfast hamper each morning of the stay. This included items like croissants, yogurt with jam & granola, hot drinks, orange juice and shortbread biscuits, at our chosen time. The biggest highlight of the experience for us, was receiving milk, cookies and snacks at whatever time we desired on the evening/night- this paired nicely with watching Harry Potter in the dim lighting. If you visit Edinburgh, this is definitely the hotel to stay at- it’s not just a hotel but an experience!
Thank you for a truly spectacular time.

Opulent and Cosy
Pros:

This hotel and cocktail bar was the tops! The staff and management went out of their way to make our stay excellent. We were treated like 'gods'. The room was luxurious, cosy and opulent. Beneath the mirror was a large TV. The breakfast had a choice of items, which were made up of things we both liked. We were not disappointed. We felt pampered and relaxed with so much on offer.

No room to swing a cat, take a torch with you!
Pros:

I booked this hotel for the night before my wedding and wedding night. For the price paid it was extremely disappointing to say the least!
Firstly, trying to check in - I'd dropped in earlier in the day with my partner to leave my luggage, wedding dress etc and was given tickets for those. When returning later to check in I was told that I would not be allowed to check in unless I had the last four digits on the card that paid, my partners card and he was not with me being the night before our wedding! The two young girls on the desk were staring at me as if I was something they'd stepped in as I was trying to phone my partner to get the relevant code!!
Secondly, lighting - or lack of it! I get the ambience they're trying to create but it was so dark in the corridors I felt as if I needed my iphone torch to negotiate my way to the room. The room was no better, such poor lighting, having to put on wedding make up was challenging as the 'make up mirror' was no such thing as it cast a shadow over my entire face!
Size of room - small, actually tiny! I had a room with a four poster and you could only use one side of the bed. Only one chair to seat two people so the only option for breakfast was sitting in bed and getting croissant crumbs everywhere.
Bathroom - the cold tap didn't work properly, shower was just a curtain around a shower head so the whole bathroom became flooded, nowhere to hang anything, bathroom door didn't shut
Breakfast - the first morning, wedding morning, I was on my own - had the hamper in bed with a pack of two warm croissants, yoghurt with fruit and granola with juice and tea - fine, it was tasty. Next morning after wedding, my new husband and I had the same hamper - one pack of two croissants, same yoghurt etc one full coffee and one half empty coffee cup and two pots of jam which had already been opened and used!! Fair play to them, they brought a new hamper and asked if we wanted a Mimosa each as an apology - no not really, we were driving home!
We booked the hotel firstly for the convenience as it was only two doors away from our venue, but also because we thought we would booking an opulent luxurious room as it looked and was described online. It's no such thing and I feel we would have been far better off booking the Radisson!

Amazing Stay!
Pros:

What an absolutely incredible stay! From start to finish the staff at the hotel were so attentive and more than lovely. We had the best time and they even wrote me a card for my birthday! You can message to reception through whatsapp and they bring anything you need to your room with such speed. 10/10 would recommend.

Good customer service but the space needs some work.
Pros:

Stayed for 2 nights which we had the unfortunate circumstance that the A/C went out the day we arrived. The hotel did call us the morning before and no issues with their willingness to make it right or help us find another place to stay. It was our choice to stay but I wanted to preface that my opinion may be bias from this circumstance.

I think they have a good vision for the decor and mood of the place and with some more changes it would really improve the experience.

I found too much use of incense which made the smells very over whelming also related the hallways smelled of body ordor and were stuffy. As previously menioned we were there when the A/C was out so I'm sure that was a contributing factor but even if the A/C was working I think there still is the over use of incense. The hallways are also draped in velvet curtains which give a cool look but that fabric is going to absorb and hold onto any ordors. My recommendation would be to give serious upgrades to the ventalation and reduce the use of incense.

My next critique is the lighting. It is a dark and moody vibe which I totally get what they're going for but the hallways are too dark which came off as scary rather than moody. When using dark decor it absorbs a lot of the light which means you actually need to add more light if you're going to decorate in such a dark palate. The poor lighting actually led to small incident that when breakfast was delivered at our door, it's so dark in the hallway the person delivering the food couldn't see that they placed the tray blocking the door so when I opened the door I knocked the tray over spilling the breakfast on the carpet. They promptly cleaned and served a fresh breakfast but I share as an example of the issue with the lighting. The rooms have good mood lighting but they're lacking in enough bright lighting as well. There's time for a moody light but then there are times when you simply just need more lighting so you can see yourself shave or see yourself put on makeup. The mirror in the bathroom was too tall for my 5 ft. tall wife to see herself to do her makeup.

Partly related to the broken A/C and partly to the lighting, we really wished the window opened. It was cooler outside than in and we also wanted to see what the weather was like that day and if the window could open it would helped a lot.

Then bed I'm pretty sure is double/full size, not a queen. Yes it's a sexy hotel and you're going to be close to the person you're with, but eventually you're going to sleep and want the space to do so. I'm pretty sure a Queen could be made to fit in the room.

Overall I appreciate what they're trying to accomplish, there's just some practicalities of the actual space to make it more enjoyable. The staff were all pleasant and very responsive. 5 stars for the staff, but for the space I had to give it a 2 for the above reasons mentioned.
