Nice guesthouse in beautiful location
Pros:

The main selling point for this place is its beautiful location - it's right on the river bank looking out towards paradise island and you can get a boat across to Bentota beach. There's a nice clean pool in the garden to cool off in too.
Room was spacious and clean with ceiling fan and good a/c. Table and chairs outside on the terrace with views of the river. A simple breakfast of eggs toast and fruit is provided. However if you want evening meal, you have to order in advance. There aren't too many dining options nearby, unless you like KFC, Pizza Hut or Dominos! Plenty of restaurants further into town near the river or in Bentota itself.

Cons:

As others have said, the beds are pretty hard. Being near to the river, there are quite a few mosquitoes about, but no net is provided over the bed.
Contrary to info on Booking.com, they do not accept card payments - cash only.
WiFi was a bit sketchy, but I was told that this was a temporary network problem in the area.

Kwan totaal niet overeen met de foto's en omschrijving. Via een smal weggetje waar amper een auto door kan rijden. Een soort van familie huis, absoluut geen hotel.

Un logement agréable pour une étape d'une nuit.
Pros:

Très bon petit-déjeuner. Piscine et petit jardin en bord de rivière très agréable, mais parfois un peu de bruit.

Kleines aber feines kleines Hotel, sehr ruhig am Fluss gelegen aber zur Hauptstraße keine 5 Minuten zu Fuß. Wir können dieses Hotel nur weiterempfehlen

Schön gelegene Anlage am Fluss mit eigenem Boots- und Wassersportverleih. Es gab einen Pool und jede Menge zu entdecken für die Kids.

La piscine , grande chambre spacieuse , le petit déjeuner . Une bonne adresse avec des hôtes très sympathiques

Ruhige entspannte Atmosphäre. Sam hatte viele gute Tipps und arrangiert Bootsfahrten und Tuk tuk Touren z.B. zu einem Wasserfall oder zum Anwesen Brief des Stararchitekten Bawa.
Übersetzen mit Boot zum einsamen Strand Bentota.
