Location is okay for me ..and the fact that I could park my car infront of the hotel free was a plus
A little improvement with cleanliness will do
The heating start from 16:00
Camas muy cómodas, aunque nos retrasamos el personal fue muy amable al esperarnos.
El lugar estaba como en obras, un poco raro el sitio. Y el hostal por dentro parecía con algunas cosas a medio hacer, como si estuvieran remodelando.
The frontage on arrival was pleasant. However, the satnav directs you to the other side which is a scruffy industrial unit. The bathroom was pretty, and nicely designed. The decor in the bedroom was pristine.
As initially designed above, it is conjoined to a badly kept industrial unit.
There was no desk to be greeted, I had to ask around to find someone, as there are multiple businesses in the adjacent compound.
No handle on the front door, you had to put a finger in the hole to pull-close it.
No carpet or underlay, just cement floor in the hallway.
Further to the above, even though the bedroom & bathroom were nicely decorated, there were a number of issues.
No hot water, I was told I’d have to wait over an hour for the boiler to be switched on. I had a eventually had a lukewarm shower, with the soaker shower head partially detached and water spouting sideways out of it. The sideboard with Tv on was badly scratched all over.
The Tv was a very old Toshiba, and half the buttons didn’t work on the remote control.
It’s a shame after decorating so well, that so little needs to be spent to make it lovely inside, and they haven’t bothered.
Rooms fairly clean. Linen fresh.
Jelly bean found on floor of one room.
Building on poor state. Front door broken, threadbare and missing carpets, exposed carpet gripper strips.
Reception closed on arrival. I was met by a man chewing a piece of chicken who didn't know we were coming!
In the morning, everyone was sneezing, presumably dust.
There is absolutely nothing that I liked other than the lady at the end was pleasant.
We arrived early and the front door was locked but there were no signs on where to go. We wondered around the property which is now shared with an auto sales lot and car wash. I noticed several rooms and they appeared to have people living in them permanently. I went into a door to find the Cafe and observed lots of furniture, trash, and household items and it was evident people were living in the kitchen area and restaurant areas. A man finally approached us in the parking lot and asked to see my confirmation information. I told him I would feel more comfortable going to the front desk. He made a phone call after a back and forth argument with me and a lady came out and said there was no front desk and we couldn’t check till 3 pm. I felt uncomfortable leaving our luggage there, but did anyway. We went to a pub down the street and had a nice lunch and killed a few hours.
The room: There are open carpet tack strips with no flooring in the hall/entry area. The room was very small, basic, and undecorated. There is a power strip with one open UK outlet, small TV, microwave, refrigerator, room heater, and water kettle. There is a desk, nightstand, and makeshift closet. There is no AC or fan in the room but it did have windows that could be opened. It was warm (84F) and had no breeze and the windows opened up to the backyard area. The worst part was several of the residents would smoke in the backyard and the cigarette smoke would go into our room even though there were signs that said no smoking on premises. Other things that bothered me: shower and bathroom were very slippery, bathroom fan was very loud, shower leaked, was not very hot, and the shower door was loose. TV remote didn’t work. Towels and sheets were air dried outside (same area the smokers smoke at) and were very stiff and rough. Loud music/bass nearby in the area until late at night.
It was a truly terrible experience and I deeply regret booking this lodge. Booking.
Very reasonable price and clean.
Everything!!! No carpet in hallway, just concrete floor and smelt musky and old!!! There was only myself and daughter staying and we didn’t feel safe so stayed in nearby hotel as there was a guy living upstairs and somebody else!!! Back yard had an ironing board in the middle of rubble!!!
Quite, and value for privacy
No cafe,no breakfast
The fact that the phone number given on the website and on the wall at the hotel didn't ring ever,at all.nor did they reply to Amy emails.check in was a joke and non existent.booking.com were as bad.they didn't reply to emails either.
Having complained about the misrepresentation of this property, the owner kindly agreed to let me stay at his other hotel which was more pleasant.
Overpriced in comparison with other properties that were better.Parking was poor.
The photo above is nothing like the property itself.
This is misrepresentation.
Avoid!
We booked here as a place to stay after visiting legoland. Upon arrival the main door has no handle and as the lady took us straight inside she immediately said because of brexit they have no tiles for the floor. We were shown to our room the beds were lovely but there was a big hole in the wall, a broken bath handle and no pac testing on any electricals with multiple cables in an extension lead. We went to bed and at 10:30 were woken by a “housekeeper” who put the light on and went into the bathroom. When I realised what was happening I said what are you doing, he said I’m housekeeping looking at leaky pipe! There was no leaky pipe he apologised and quickly scurried off. I rang the main lady I spoke to and she came down asked for a description said it wasn’t right and then found the gentleman gave him a “bollocking” as she said and then said not to worry. She played it down and said he had worked here for years and isn’t dangerous but like I stated, it wasn’t right him coming in anyway! I had a 12 year old with me who then was sick and wouldn’t obviously sleep. I e requested a refund and been refused!
Great location just off J5 of the M4 to dodge London transport charges. TV, fridge & microwave in room which was great. Short walk into Colnbrook village for eateries & shops.
Wasn't the best but certainly wasn't the worst place I'd stayed at. Front door handle was broken & they're waiting to have flooring in the hallway. Probably more of a contractors base as the hotel is quite basic. Was given the wifi code but was unable to connect properly during visit
