Customer service was horrible. Breakfast was advertised as available and when I requested breakfast the second morning no one knew what was on the menu, then I was told I can't get breakfast until one day later as you have to put your order in one day in advance. Its very cold in Johannesburg right now, and when my heater was broken. They gave me three different portable heater, two were broken. The third one worked but was rattling so loud it was nearly impossible to sleep. It was noisy in the hallway. Security guard got into a debate about me in why one side of the wall outlets were not working. Towels were wet when we got there. My check in was not professional as no one could find my reservation from paying in advance. I paid for a Deluxe room and they insisted I paid for a Standard room until I showed them my Expedia confirmation receipt. This place is ran horribly.
The staff is lazy. They don’t even know what products they offer. They advertise breakfast available but then i tried to order and no one knew for sure what comes with breakfast for 150 Rands. The AC/Heater was broken, broken curtain and the sheets and pillows had stains. Apparently they had problems with electricity in that some electrical outlets were not working in my room. When I complained they said they forgot to tell me then the security guy/receptionist came to my room and debated with me why they said nothing. He was so belligerent, I had to I had to kick him out of my room.
The place is clean in general but now they are no longer making it a priority to maintain the place. I arrived and the room had pillow cases not ironed and the duvet cover was torn from inside. Early in the morning there was no water at all. Had to ask for a bucket and get water outside from the main tap to bath which was cold.
the hotel was very poorly maintained. We woke up with ants in the bed! The sheets were dirty with all kinds of dirty ones
stains. the hotel doesn't look like the pictures! There were dirty insects everywhere in the room. The shower head was broken, during the power outage we also had no water to shower. They indicate that you could book breakfast, the hotel had no breakfast at all! This was honestly the worst hotel ever! the owner of this
hotel only wants money and doesn't think about its guests.
There were no towels, no toilet role, no TV, no staff at check in, no electricity as we arrived during load shedding but with no reception staff we had to wait over an hour to get to out room. No tea or coffee making facilities. Bedding was unclean looking but after all the hassle I didn’t care. Possibly the worst hotel experience in my life.
