Spacious room
Cobwebs around edge of the ceiling and the sink in bathroom was fully blocked with no plug and the property smelt of smoke

Comfy bed = most important thing in a room . Window = fresh air , TV , light . Receptionist offered to upgrade our room . Very nice .towels . Friendly chbermaid chap
2nd am early ceiling in room G broke ,shower water from a room above us ran into our room + receptionist didn't turn up after we called him him . Nasty ! 1st am shower was not hot , just warm . Kettle was rusty inside .

We chose this hotel purely as a last minute emergency booking where all we needed was a place to sleep for the night.
Upon arrival we waited a few minutes for a member of staff to appear at the check in desk.
We were offered a room on the first floor which was labeled as non-smoking. The first thing that hit us on entering was the strong odour of stale cigarette smoke. The room was shabby in appearance and very unappealing. I explained the situation to the member of staff and he apologised offering an alternative. This room was tired in appearance. When I used the toilet it leaked from the bottom with water seeping onto the bathroom floor.
The room was again changed for us. We were given the choice of two other rooms. Again one reaked of stale cigarette smoke despite being labeled as non-smoking. So we chose the second room which at least smelt fresher, however very shabby in appearance. There was a large tile over the shower cubicle that looked like it was about to fall off of the ceiling and the rest of the ceiling was bare and unfinished plaster. The bed was very uncomfortable with two practically flat pillows The walls of the room had dirty smudges on them and the woodwork had old flakey and peeling paint. The laminated floors were lifting at the joints where it appeared the shower or toilet might have over flowed on to the floor. In addition to this the ceiling was not insulated as there was a lot of noise transference from the room above.
I'm not sure how this "hotel" is rated as three star and would not recommend it The hotels photos on this site DO NOT represent the rooms current state!
