Gorgeous thatched pub in a cute little village close within walking distance of Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door. We only stayed one night, but really enjoyed our comfortable room, excellent shower and the breakfast was epic! Staff were really friendly and looked after us well.
Only disappointment was that on a Sunday night, out of season, like many pubs it was very quiet and the pub closed earlier than either the stated time (10pm on Sundays) or the time advised to us when we arrived (9:30). We took the opportunity for an early night, but worth bearing in mind you may not be able to enjoy the bar as long as you might want to - not at all unique to this pub though.

The Castle Inn is superb. The staff are very friendly, the rooms really clean and well-presented, and the meals are great. The full English breakfast is to die for.

Beautiful, cosy decor, incredibly comfy bed, quiet location, great pub downstairs, beautiful bathroom products, great tea/coffee facilities & the most welcoming staff!! We had such a special time!

The location is amazing,the inside has been decorated in a perfect way that hasn’t spoilt the original features and is kept very clean in all areas.
the pub could get very busy and seating a little bit squashed but that can’t be helped and can only be a good sign for the Castle Inn.
Attention to detail, lovely warm atmosphere, great community feeling - it was Monday and there was a quiz night which was great fun. Staff were excellent, service and food were spot on. Superb location. What was there to not like?
