Traditional-style pub with lovely staff and great food. Well-kept beer, and outside seating.
Room a bit small, but we could live with it.
Room was clean, well equipped. Breakfast was very good with lots of options.
Charismatische Unterkunft. Sehr schön gestalteres Zimmer, urchig und heimelig. Sehr hilfsbereites und freundliches Personal. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Lage perfekt. Parkplätze vorhanden.

small dark room with no obvious ventilation. When we politely asked questions we were treated with disdain. For example everyone is given a voucher for a free dring at the bar, which is nice. So I asked for a cider. The lady poured it out and then asked my to pay. I asked why and she said it was because it was not the correct brand (of which we knew nothing. So she said you will have to pay for it. I objected so she took the dring back and deducted it from my bank account some days after we left. That is not good hospitality. ANd no compromise. sorry to say.
This was by far the best B&B we stayed in during our week long walk Lyme Regis to Poole. I suppose it was also the most expensive but worth it. Warm welcome, lovely room, amazing dinner and breakfast. Very helpful staff. The drink vouchers help the high price.

The staff at The Castle Inn were super friendly and nice. We had an enjoyable dinner and breakfast at the property. Food was great too! The location is not in a sper crowded location near the beach, so if you like the peace and quiet, this is it!

The staff are amazing, so friendly and lovely. The rooms are nice & the wine list exceptional.
If I had to be picky, I’d say the dinner is a tad expensive & you dont get an itemised bill when it’s billed to your card. The shower tray also seems to overflow when taking a shower - but none of these were that problematic, lovely stay and lovely staff!

The rooms were dark and small and it got very hot in the room at night
The staff were especially warm and welcoming. Breakfast was excellent. Room was a bit dark but in an old building with small windows to be expected.
The number of dogs in the pub and eating area in the bar. Could patrons wishing to bring their animals for dinner not be accommodated outside?
