Superb, friendly, comfortable hotel in a good location.
Pros:

Well situated, nicely appointed, comfortable. Good selection of high quality food and drinks. Excellent service from friendly staff.

We didn't stay - we checked out same day.

Cons:

We didn't feel welcomed when we arrived and were literally dumped in our room by a very grumpy & disinterested staff member. There was no mobile reception and the wifi was virtually unusable.

I love this hotel. Always feel like receiving a big hug when I get there the food is also incredible

Cons:

Needs conditioner!. I had an event to go to the next day and couldn’t wash and dry my hair for it Especially for the price. Apart from that excellent!

Excellent stay!! So relaxing
Pros:

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The building itself is absolutely beautiful, and the whole place has such a calm, relaxing atmosphere. It felt very welcoming and homely from the moment we arrived.

The staff were amazing. We drove all the way from Wales and were running late for the restaurant before closing, but the chefs kindly waited for us and served us one of the best dinners we have had in England.

The grounds are stunning and very peaceful. We only stayed for two nights, but it definitely felt too short. This is a place worth visiting for longer if you really want to relax and enjoy it properly.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable and the food was delicious
Pros:

The dining room was light and bright and tastefully decorated in keeping with the house.
The dinner was delicious with plenty of choice as was the breakfast.The staff serving were very friendly and professional

Cons:

I did struggle to get the temperature setting correct in the shower despite the instructions that were available .It was hot weather and preferred a cool shower.

Staying at Plumber Manor was a total treat!
Pros:

Excellent breakfast, with a variety of fresh cooked options as well as a continental choice. Stunning family-owned country hotel with beautiful grounds. The staff were all friendly and accommodating, and I had the sense they all enjoyed working there, and wanted your stay to be memorable. It was a quiet, tranquil hotel, waking to birdsong every morning, with nothing else to mar the silence. Dinner was delightful, a varied choice of delicious options and an extensive wine list. Service was impeccable and made the whole experience one to be savoured. Highly recommend Plumber Manor, and hope to return in the near future.

Cons:

Our room was clean and well-appointed but small. I think we would opt for a larger room when we return.

Cons:

Be forewarned, not much choice in surrounding area for dinner on Mondays and Tuesdays so best to eat at manor.

We stayed for our wedding anniversary. and fantastic choice and as we are only 20miles away we shall certainly be back

The location the fact the manor had been in the family since1700

Relaxed grandeur
Pros:

This is a beautiful owner run hotel in pretty grounds, very friendly staff , it was clean with à attractive dining room and bar/sitting room. It’s kept the character and decor of an ancestral manor (which it is) while rooms are fresh and clean with tiled bathrooms.
