The location was a very quiet area. The views from hotel were great.
They provided shuttle to restaurants and shops with in a certain radius of hotel.
Staff was friendly and very helpful.
We went to Camissa House in between safaris in Zimbabwe and Kruger Park. I didn’t know what to expect. The hotel is in a beautiful part of Capetown. The hotel is beautiful and well maintained. They welcome you with open arms. A welcome drink and off to a song room in a hotel with only 8 rooms. The room is well furnished with an amazing view of the city. The food is great at breakfast and afternoon tea is lovely. They offer their services for driving you to and from your restaurant for dinner saving you trouble with Lyft or Uber. This is so nice. Their bar is always open to you as well as their coffee and tea service. This place is run by amazing and friendly people. I can’t recommend this place. Lovely and a perfect hotel for a visit to Capetown.
This was a new stay for us in Cape Town and we booked it on the back of a fellow traveller recommendation from a previous holiday in SA the year before. We opted for the 4 nights for the price of 3 primarily so that we could dine out at some new places to eat in town. Ubers are really easy to arrange but if you fancied stretching your legs then you could walk from here right to the waterfront but of course you might want to get an Uber going back up hill :-) As for the place itself, we chose the lead in room as we always do with stays, and were more than satisfied with what we got however the phone in the room was a bit unreliable when we wanted to ring down for a coffee and the water pressure wasnt always great being on the top floor but we never found out why. We did raise these issues with the management at the time. The staff are really friendly and ready to help with anything as you would normally expect from that great South African hospitality and a special shout out to Walter who has been there for a few years now even when it was a private home. He was always ready to chat and provide you with any local knowlegde. Afternoon tea was a real treat especially when it was accompanied with a glass of chilled Chardonay. The breakfast was a feast to the eyes and the team would accomodate any reasonable request you had. The place was undergoing a soft makeover at the time so it would be interesting to see how that turned out as it was looking quite swish as we left. Met some lovely fellow guests whilst we there such was the relaxed nature of the place. Overall we were impressed and if they addressed the couple of things we raised with them it can only get better.
My stay at Camissa House was absolutely incredible. Walking into the property feels like entering a different biome of existence. Everything is flawlessly curated and beautiful. The rooms are stunning and the living area is brilliant.
I absolutely love the staff. Every single person made me feel like part of the friend group. I always had full confidence that I can chat and ask anything I want. What a wonderful group of people.
Beautiful place, and so peaceful and relaxing. A very small hotel and everything was excellent.
Nothing - it was all lovely.
Beautiful location at foot of table mountain, outstanding service, comfortable and quiet sleep, luxury linens, wonderful food. Excellent!!!!
Truly a stunning and beautiful house. The rooms are spacious and perfectly well equipped. The service we got from all the staff including the driver is 10/10. The breakfasts were another highlight day after day.
The hotel was beyond expectations! Everything was 10 out of 10. Not the least the service and the friendliness amongst the staff. Can’t wait to go back!
Personalized service with a smile.
Rooms were a bit quirky— chair in bathroom
Everything! A small luxury boutique hotel with a cosy and intimate feel. Super friendly staff and a fantastic location overlooking Cape Town and the sea!
I booked at Camissa House through Rhino Africa as I had one last night in Cape Town and wanted to make it memorable and had stayed in the two previous Manna Bay Properties owned by Rhino Africa and wanted to experience this one. The staff were fantastic and so helpful and kind. The location on the slope of Table Mountain cannot be beaten with incredible views over the city. It's easily accessible to the main highways if you are driving a car and has great safe off street parking in the secure garage. My room was at the back of the house looking up toward the mountain and overlooking the courtyard and fish pond. The room has a small outside patio area in the garden which was nice. Lots of light and windows. Beautiful linens and towels . Bed was comfortable Bathroom was very big. Only a shower though; no bath tub but that's not an issue for me. The High tea was spectacular with some great South African eats (bobotie pie and chicken pie) along with cakes etc. Gorgeous outdoor pool deck with fantastic infinity pool. Didn't get to take a swim though the pool looked very inviting. Breakfast was wonderful with many options to choose from. Had a great short stay and am glad I chose to stay here, despite the very high price tag ($600+) for the night. Recommend this hotel if you really want a bespoke , personal , guest experience. Well done to the team for making my stay so enjoyable.
This boutique hotel is just fabulous. Staff are truly incredible and cannot do enough for you . Breakfast excellent and high tea and cocktails are wonderful. Real plus is the complementary shuttle between 5-11pm to take you into main areas for dinners or drinks and bring you home . Special mention to Walter what a true gentleman. But a huge Thank you to all staff at Camissa house . You made us feel special.
I had a truly wonderful stay at Camissa House. The staff were always at the highest level of attention and care, every detail was thoughtfully handled, and the service was simply optimal.
I also really liked the location at the foot of Table Mountain. The view is very special and the atmosphere so calm and peaceful.
My room was also beautiful and very comfortable.
A heartfelt thank you to the entire Camissa House team for such an unforgettable stay!
One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. The entire staff is top notch and very attentive. The breakfast is excellent with the best eggs Benedict I have ever had. The cocktails, pool, and whole experience was perfect. Will happily come back again!
Friendly. Great breakfast. Free bar.
The design is awfull. It is a terrible try to make a residence contemporary.
The building is very noisy.
I don’t like the smell of breakfast in the morning in a room on the top floor
By far the best service of any hotel I’ve ever stayed at. An extra special thanks to David, Tumi, Faseegh, and Callington for going above & beyond at all times for us.
Loved our stay and can't wait to go back! We stayed for 9 nights and by the end felt like part of the family! Everyone was really helpful, we're regularly visitors to Cape Town and so pleased we found this hotel.
