For some reason ot took long to check-in, but thats not my complaint. Disappointed that I couldn't connect my computer or usb device to the television. Seemed the system was intentional locked into prohibiting one's own devices. To make matters worse, the television offered netflix, but it was impossible to change to language to english and even worse english subtitles were not available. I found this extremely frustrating considering the films are originally English. Lastly, the breakfast was rather poor consiseeing the price. If they at least had bacon or porridge I would have been satisfied. Considering, I will not return.
The hotel is a well thought out millennial place with a pool table, vibrant colors, and great shared spaces.
The only details I did not like so much is that rooms were a bit small and there were no closets, or space to place luggage. Also, the curtains were a bit small so it was not as comfortable to sleep on the long summer days because sunlight would wake you up at 6am.
The service desk was really friendly and willing to help when needed, so this is definitely a plus. I will be staying here again for sure, but will ask for a bigger curtain if possible!
A great place to explore Podil district of Kyiv. It's not where the major sights are located, but there is vibrant nightlife (yeah, Kyiv is new Berlin) and lots of food and drink opportunities. The hotel is within walking distance from most places on Podil. The hotel itself is very nice, modern, clean and comfortable
Very nice, modern hotel in Podil district of Kyiv. It's a bit aside from major tourist attractions, but very convenient for Podil to enjoy its world-class night life, and very cozy and laid-back atmosphere in general
Super BAD, Very far from the Centre, Bad Service, Small Room, very very small toilet, bad location
It is a quiet area. The hotel is new and clean but the internet is not good and you only have 3 minutes of hot water for a shower. I took many cold showers. The area is kind of sad and far away from restaurants and shops. There is a nice grocery store next door where you can get food. The food at the hotel is not good. The staff seemed annoyed by us even though we never complained. We asked a few questions, that is all. House keeping was okay but not terrific. We left this hotel early to stay in another one even though it meant losing money. We did not ask for a refund, we just wanted to leave.
Not close to most main attractions or places to venture to, but quite close to a metro station. Also, the street out front is a main thoroughfare for the Podil District. This and the low rate makes the property appealing.
It was good..... Really the only only out point was the snoring guy next room!!!!
Everything was perfect!!!!
The hotel is quite far from the 'main strip' opposite industrial buildings in an enclosed courtyard with entrance through an adjacent building. It is quite 'stark in a purple way!'. Fairly new buildings and facilities but quite basic. Location is probably the biggest drawback.
I have stayed at the property numerous times in recent years. It is a low-cost hotel that is very convenient to the metro and the center of Kyiv.
This time, registration had moved to their new building, the gate didn't open and I was tired after a long drive. Then, as I was checking in, they informed me that I needed to pay a 400 UAH deposit on the room. This was new and they could not tell me what it was for, just that it was a new rule. There are no mini-bars in the rooms or other reasons for the charge that I could understand. When I insisted that they give me a record/receipt for the 400 UAH, they become a little more testy.
The administrator was there the whole time and he eventually printed the receipt for me. It left a decidedly bad taste in my mouth.
They are trying to be more upscale with their new campus as they are trying to brand themselves as "urban". Not sure I will return, which is sad since it is in a great location.
Knowledgeable English speaking staff. Kind of hard to get to tourist sites.
TERRIBLE SERVICE, DO NOT BOOK HERE
the bed in the bedroom was TINY, suitable for a small child, not adult size.
No kettle in the room, no phone to call reception in the rooms.
Hotel supervisor very rude and liar "Anastasiya Zinerych" I told her, the bed is too small for adult, she says "no, bed is good"
I say, bring a foldout bed, they have them in every hotel, she says "no, we don't have that"
I say, "I will sleep on floor, bring extra bed sheets and pillows. She says, 1 pillow and bed sheet maximum, because not enough"- don't believe this. I am a businessman with great hotel experiences (i travel a lot), she was being very rude and unreasonable.
TERRIBLE SERVICE
Short but Nice
Et rigtig fint hotel til prisen og flinkt personale
I have stayed at this property before. It is in an old industrial part of Kyiv. A 5-7 minute walk to the metro, with a small grocery store nearby. The area isn't great for attractions, but it is a great location for quietness and easy access to all the places you want to visit by metro.
A hotel is a pretty good option for overnight stay in Kyiv, not a good option for a leisure visitors.
Room is clean but small. My room had a very small window and a lack of daylight.
Stuff at the reception on my check-in day and at the restaurant was speaking a foreign (Russian) language to me, while I was speaking Ukrainian - official language of Ukraine. That was very strange as I don't really speak Russian and would like to receive information in my native language in my country. Information letters in my room was also in English and Russian only.
Food selection for breakfast is satisfactory, but they have only instant coffee for breakfast :(
