Breakfast was ok. Location was superb to where we needed to head daily.
The lady at the front desk when we arrived was not welcoming at all.

Breakfast could have had more choices.
Because it was a quick trip to College Station for dinner and catch-up with our granddaughter, leaving the next morning, it appeared when we first drove into "town".
The breakfast was, considering that it a corporate hotel, was better than most. Hot food- scrambled eggs, sausages, fried potatoes, all tasty. Even had Yoplait yoghurt rather than a store brand.
The coffee, however, was horrible.

Also- FYI, although it is a La Quinta, THEY DON'T ALLOW PETS! We've always stayed in La Quitas across the country because of their liberal pet policy. The woman who checked us in (we didn't bring our little dog this trip) actually said, "I HATE dogs!"
The outdoor pool had no cover and as we were having brutal, blinding summer days (often in the 3 digits), it really wasn't useable during the day.

Clean, friendly and the amenities were bed nice. Beds were comfortable.
There was a screw up in booking through a third party. I went online to add a day to our stay because what was originally supposed to be a stay of 7/30 - 8/1, I assumed that meant check out would be on 8/2. It was not. I booked another day on Booking.com and paid about $40 a day more than my original booking. I contacted the property to let them know that I had to book another day and I had not vacated the room because I assumed our checkout was on 8/2. An employee manned Kendrick told me there would be no problem with keeping the room and that I only needed to resign some paperwork when I got back. We got back to the room and we were told that nothing had been written down or relayed about out extending our stay. The employee who was helping us couldn’t say if our things had been brought down from our room to be put into storage. Our key cards didn’t work. Luckily, the employee offered to reset our key to see if our things were still there and to retrieve them. Housekeeping was just starting to clean our room out and we were able to get all of our things. The employee told us that we did not have a room and our previous room was unavailable. We just left at that point. We’d been out at our daughter’s track meet in the sun for 2 days and we were exhausted. I asked the employee if they can refund our reservation cost and they said they were unable to because it was booked through a third party. This was confusing and extremely irritating. I thought I was doing right by rectifying the booking error by booking another day, only to find out that what Kendrick from LaQuinta told us about extending our stay in our room was incorrect and that we were left with no alternative but to leave. We’d initially planned on watching the state finals tomorrow 8/2. But instead we had to drive back to San Antonio before the meet was over. I know it states that there are no refunds, but this ridiculous! I paid for an extra day and I was not given one.
This is an average hotel. The breakfast is ok. For a hotel that looks to be remodeled not too long there were quite a few repairs that need to be done. I think for the price you get what you pay for.
The overall feel of the hotel, it felt cozy as soon as you walked in the lobby. The room had a very cozy feel as well. With the decor and soft lighting I knew I would get a good night rest. It was very comfortable. I would stay here again.
