Holiday Inn Express Ft Payne by IHG

Quiet and clean, with friendly staff. Full continental breakfast that was being constantly refilled by a very friendly and helpful staff person. Nice stay and highly recommend.

Comfortable, quiet, great breakfast service

I read great reviews about this place. I will start with the positive. The people who work here are the best. Helpful, kind and knowledgeable. Our room was clean. However, we encountered a few problems. First the drain in the bathroom sink was clogging if you ran the water. Second, the shower water was only lukewarm. Then, we only had tiny left over rolls of toilet paper. When I asked if we could get a new full roll, I was told they didn’t have any as they were waiting on a shipment. I believe someone took the roll from the office and finally brought us one roll. The drain was fixed as was the problem with the hot water. Later we went to put the shade down so we didn’t have to look at the homeless camp a few hundred feet from our window and the shade would not go down. It also was fixed. The AC is fickle. If i set it at 74, heat comes on. 73 and it is freezing cold. I asked about the homeless camp and was told that was a new issue that started this month. We initially planned to walk to dinner and the store, but with the growing number of homeless people just at the next building we felt more comfortable driving. We haven’t tried breakfast yet. Will check that out in the morning.

Always a good experience at HIE in Fort Payne, Al. Our room is always clean and welcoming and quiet. We stop in for one night to get off the road for a 2 day journey to Va. we always stay at this hotel because we are very happy with the service we receive. Also a very good breakfast.

Cancelled due to last minute child vomiting. Purchased cancellation insurance but when I tried to file a claim the website stated it was unable to process my information. Will contact credit card company & file a claim for fraudulent charge as cancellation insurance is fraudulent

We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It was clean & very quiet. They had a really good selection of hot breakfast items too. We would definitely stay there again.

We had a last minute need for a hotel room. I called the direct number prior to booking to ensure the pool was open. After being told yes, I told my 2 and 3 year old we could swim and stopped for bathing suits on the way to check in at around 7pm. After arriving, I was told the pool had been closed for some time and there was nothing the hotel could do because I booked through hotels.com. I could have booked at 3 other nearby hotels for the same price.

There was nothing wrong with the property. It was perfectly adequate for our purpose. Cozier linens and towels would have improved, but that is not the hotel's fault. We knew what we'd be getting when booking there. I would have no problems staying there again.

Broken shower head, Broken TP holder, Murky pool, non working treadmill. For $185 a night these amenities need to be in good condition.

Location to Little River Canyon and Mentone Parks.
