The room was excellent, and the staff was helpful. They even brought up some toothpaste.
Pros:

The hotel had interesting architecture because it was a remodeled bank.

Cons:

The hotel didn’t provide parking, which I hadn’t realized. But the close by private parking was available and inexpensive. I fully understand why they couldn’t provide parking.

Beautiful hotel, lovely helpful staff. Food was excellent
Pros:

I paid 70 for parking which is pretty expensive. But a unhoused person was literally approaching me as I pulled up to check in

Great historic place with modern amenities
Pros:

So grad we stayed here. The historic nature of the building and the architecture alone make up for everything. Front desk service was excellent. Roomed were clean and comfortable. Breakfast and coffee place were also good. Location is perfect in the downtown area walking distance from Gaslamp district, Seaport Village and Convention Center. Enjoyed this stay very much and highly recommend.

Stay away from this place!!!!!
Pros:

Stay as far away as possible.... got double charged during the authorization process checking, Found out about it the next day and told the front desk. They said it would be taken care of my my bank in 3-5 days. 6 days later, it is still there. Extended my stay one day due to a business meeting, was quoted a good rate and charged more. had to call 3 times for both the double charge and mis quote and still not resolved. Stay somewhere else.. disappointed in the Marriott organization for putting up with this. lots of other great hotels in San Diego but not this one.

Excellent service and food
Pros:

Stayed on March 4th with a friend and dined at the lobby restaurant Gold Reserve. Our server Chris was very attentive and friendly. He gave top notch service and made us delicious drinks. Should out to him and the chef as the burger and risotto were delicious! Thank you CHRIS!

Pros:

The hotel is super pretty, it has a unique charm being a former bank building. The room was clean, comfy, and the building just looked like a jewel box from inside. The front desk was super helpful and exceptionally kind. I enjoyed my stay and would love to return.
