Cosy, warm atmosphere & delicious food!
Pros:

Loved every moment of our stay from walking in, to time, we sadly had to go!
We were greeted, warmly, by April who was extremely helpful, giving us advice for our stay in the area.
Handed the keys, off we went, to our well appointed room. Modern, alongside the traditional & whimsical touches, which felt warm & cosy.
Breakfast is taken in the coffee shop, which is stunning due to the deep, rich colours, comfy sofas, whimsical features & living plants bringing more depth to the setting.
We felt well looked after by the staff who were happy to chat to us. The food, well that's just delicious & filling, so much so we ordered take out for our journey home! Drinks choices are fabulous with the use of fresh loose teas to suit anyone. If you've not already guessed, we loved our visit, wished we'd stayed longer & would love to go back! I think you're going to love staying here, give it try & enjoy your stay 🙏💕

Cons:

Personally I like a bigger cup or mug for my morning cuppa in the room, saying that, the coffee bag was a lovely touch! 💕

April and Liam (I think?) were wonderful hosts. They chilled our wine and beer and set up a lovely cosy area of the lounge for us to enjoy on our return from a meal out. The rooms were extremely comfortable and the breakfast was amazing.

Really friendly, helpful, comfortable.
Pros:

Breakfast was freshly made and very tasty.

Staff made us very welcome to eat carry out fish and chips (excellent from chip shop 100 yards away) in their dining room - providing wine glasses and cutlery.

Cons:

Bed was a bit low to the ground.
Ground coffee bag in room was nice; decaf option would be good.

Pros:

Incredibly hospitable! The owner was so warm and welcoming! Went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. She treated our adult children with special needs with so much respect. So grateful 🙏. Breakfast was delicious! The rooms were so unique and cosy. Super clean! Location was fantastic, a walking distance to Dunrobin Castle. Coop opposite. Pubs/ restaurants nearby. This is family owned/run and to know that they live on site with their children just adds such a homely feel to the place. We loved it here.

Homey Comfort for a Castle Visit
Pros:

What a wonderful surprise. Pictures are often misleading, but the Salt House is as quaint, lovely and comfortable as portrayed on line, if not more so. April was an absolutely charming host, keeping us entertained while our breakfast sandwiches cooked. What an amazing story!

The rooms were almost decadent in their comfort. Roomy and plush, be careful not to drown in the pillows! Bathroom was excellent.

Breakfast was simple but amazingly tasty and filling. Located in the heart of Golspie, with the Chippy shop 2 doors down, and the Golspie Inn a short 10 minute walk for dinner. Assuming you are here to see Dunrobin Castle, it's a short 10 minute drive away.

April indicated plans to open a bar and expand the restaurant for dinner, and if they do, the Salt House will truly be a destination hotel, but it's great now, just the way it is.

Cons:

Nothing. Could not have enjoyed the stay more.
