Returning to Raffles Phnom Penh confirmed everything we felt during our previous visit — and even more. The hotel remains as elegant, spotless, and beautifully maintained as ever. The rooms are stylish and supremely comfortable, the bathrooms pristine, and the overall atmosphere effortlessly refined. The pool area continues to be a true highlight — peaceful and absolutely stunning.
Breakfast was again excellent, with a wide variety and high-quality offerings. Service throughout the hotel was warm, polished, and attentive. Loved the young people in the front desk!
A very special mention to Chanseng Vin, Concierge, who was truly outstanding. He was incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay, but what impressed us most was his assistance after we had already returned home. We accidentally left our earphones behind, and he personally ensured they were located and carefully arranged shipment via FedEx. Thanks to his efficiency and care, we received them just a few days after our departure. That level of service is rare and deeply appreciated.
One small point: while the bathroom doors in our room type stylistically fit beautifully with the overall design and aesthetic of the room, I would personally prefer a more solid door for additional privacy. It’s a minor detail and very much a matter of preference, but worth noting.
Correspond à sa réputation. Merci le Phnom Penh sling, la literie, le room service 24/24, la beauté de l’hôtel et des chambres, le personnel incroyable.
Tout a été bien
Loved the colonial style. Great welcome upon arrival. Very comfortable beds. We really enjoyed our stay here.
Cocktail bar was London/New York prices. It is lovely but it was overpriced in my opinion.
The architecture. The history. The gardens The Elephant Bar The staff and the most comfortable bed ever
Nothing.
The check-in was warm and attentive. The colonial-style room was beautifully decorated and very clean, and matched the description: spacious (despite the limited space due to the building’s historical features) and comfortable, with all the necessary amenities. The hotel is well-located in the north of Phnom Penh in a fairly upscale and quiet neighborhood, close to places of interest; just a few minutes’ walk from the Central Market and Wat Phnom, the Tonlé Sap Riverfront, and historic colonial-era buildings, and a short distance from the Royal Palace (about 5–10 minutes by tuk-tuk). The hotel’s common areas are very pleasant and tastefully decorated to reflect the hotel’s history; the gardens are beautiful and well-maintained, as are the two swimming pools. The hotel’s restaurants, serving both local and international dishes, are excellent. The staff (front desk, restaurant, doorman) is very responsive when needed (via WhatsApp, where we can communicate with the front desk), smiling, welcoming, and charming.
Everything was great !
This is a little haven of peace amongst the chaotic city. Comfortable rooms, lovely quiet pool area. Everything has attention to detail. After our flight to Uk were cancelled we decided to stay here for our final two nights and I'm so glad we took this opportunity to stay in an iconic hotel. Phnom Penh is hectic and this is a superb contrast.
Nothing
Decoration. Historic feel. Friendly staff
Food is very average and expensive compared to high quality in city. Atmosphere a bit sterile
Rooms small and can be noisy from outside traffic
Tutto perfetto e curato nei minimi particolari . Staff gentilissimo e ottimi ristoranti.
Super friendly staff who were always very welcoming and happy to help with any requests. We had a good experience at breakfast and dinner albeit the restaurant was quiet so the team weren’t under pressure. Loved the Elephant Bar and great cocktails.
Nothing. You wouldn’t get to stay at such a beautiful property in many places elsewhere in the world at that room rate, I’ve paid more in the US for a crappy Days Inn!!
Staying at Raffles Hotel Le Royal in Phnom Penh is a masterclass in heritage luxury. From the moment you enter, you feel yourself in the 1920th.
The staff is incredibly thoughtful and attentive. They are going beyond to ensure you feel at home. I would like to mention Fiona, Muhamed, Vin Chanseng, Monorealh and all the others. You can feel the good relations among the international team, and it is due to a good management. Dagmar is the master.
The outdoor pools offering a serene escape from the city's bustle after your tours in the city and outside the city.
The A La Carte breakfast in unique and the chef is doing his best to match your requests.
And I would like to mention the 70th birthday of my wife and the big surprise of the hotel.
We stayed 7 days at the hotel, 5 days and 2 days. We recommend the hotel.
We were group of 6 ,travelling on a river boat from Vietnam to Cambodia.Whilst visiting phnom phen,a wonderful city,we wanted to to visit Raffles, have a cocktail in elephant Bar.We’d done same year earlier in Singapore.Arrived at 12 .00,only to be told that the bar shut till 14 00.Our fault not checking,we were disappointed would miss seeing this iconic bar. Then we met Lin!She warmly welcomed us in to hotel, gave us an impromptu tour ,telling us all about the history of hotel. The elephant bar was opened to let us have good look around.Iconic, and beautiful. We then were taken to conservatory where we ordered cocktails. Thanks to lin,we were so happy to have learned and seen more than if we’d just come for a drink. What an asset and ambassador for Raffles! Thanks you so much Lin!
L accueil des personnels et le cadre formidable. Juste un petite remarque, peut-être mettre à la disposition des clients des journaux (en langue française et anglaise). Merci pour tout et aux personnels qui ont permis un séjour agréable. Bien cordialement. M Thierry PAULME
Wonderful hotel in fantastic location. Staff are friendly and attentive - always happy to help with restaurant suggestions or find you a Tuk Tuk; Elephant Bar staff always friendly with great advice for cocktails; The pools are beautiful; The hotel feels steeped in history
We were not keen on the breakfast system. The food is great but if you are in a hurry, it is very frustrating having to wait for the trolley to come round to you - we would have preferred a buffet option
The bedroom at night was a little light. The lights in the corridor are on full throughout the night and you get quite a bit coming into the bedroom around the door.
