The pool was wonderful .Breakfast absolutely perfect.
Bit expensive Awful view over roof tops and air ducts
The hotel was good but looked a little old fashioned. Part was sealed off for refurbishment so perhaps all the rooms are getting a make-over. The room was fine and I loved the huge bed which was very firm and supportive. The stand out feature was the buffet breakfast, anything you could possibly want and catering for all dietary needs. I've never seen crumpets on a breakfast menu before.
After a busy day and drive to the hotel I didn't appreciate a long queue to check-in at 11pm. No problem with the check-in process once at the counter. Everything in the hotel worked and had been maintained or replaced over the years but there was a feeling that the place was not quite at it's best, nevertheless I would be very happy to stay there again.
Close to NEC and good quality rooms and food.
Took a while to check in. Stood at the front of the queue for ages.
Stayed before and every time we have been
Service has been excellent.
Had a lovely view from our room this time.
Weather was very hot, can’t be helped.
Wished the air conditioning worked a bit better.
Location, just a short walk to resorts world
Nothing
All that was needed and nicely presented.
Air con in bedroom was not working. Had a very warm night.
Location is great. Bar is good. I didn't see the wider facilities like the gym or pool sadly.
Air conditioning didn't scratch the temperature. Cracked basin with broken tap. No shower gel on arrival (empty). The bed wasn't comfortable.
breakfast was good, just very busy
The lakeside restaurant is a joy. Food and staff were excellent
Our room refresh after first night left a bit to be desired
Air conditioning on a hot night
Massive queue to check in. I gave up, left my bags in the cloakroom to attend my dinner meeting in Birmingham, then checked in at 21:30.
Overpriced at £245 for one night. I chose the hotel to match my US visitors but will return to my £85 regular hotel next week.
The car parking system didn’t recognise my licence plate. The barrier then wouldn’t reside and I had to repark and return to reception to study it out.
Staff
Keycard didn’t work as the batteries on the door had run out. It was late at night and meant I had to wait in hallway to be fixed. Room was old and rundown and for £200 a night was dismal. Aircon in restaurant barely working.
To appease the guests in the queues they gave out ice lolly pops.
0ver 50 mins to be checked in with queues stretching back to the swimming pool area. Drinks over prices with again long queues just to get served. Room was ok but with no working air conditioning.
Parking was handy for the show at the NEC
Zero air con, rooms were OVER 35 degrees and the cleaners opened the curtains during the day when the temps were high.
