Elegant and stately, the hotel was lovely.

Another amazing stay at the Garden City Hotel. It’s in a perfect location, walkable to all the shops and restaurants. Conveniently located across the street from train station that takes you to Grand Central station.

Our family stayed here the evening before a flight at JFK. The staff greeted us as we pulled in, and the exceptional service never stopped. The front desk, bellmen, waiters, manager and general manager all gave us the VIP treatment. The guest rooms were spacious and impeccably maintained. The Patio Bar, King Bar and Red Salt Room not only had amazing food and drinks, but the staff truly gave us an unforgettable experience. No detail was overlooked. I highly recommended this hotel for an evening of being treated like royalty.

I absolutely love this hotel! From the moment we arrived, the experience was seamless. Everyone throughout the property, from the front desk and valet team to the restaurant staff, was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Check-in was effortless and setting the tone for a wonderful stay. The food was absolutely over the top! The menu offered the perfect amount of variety, and the service was exceptional. It was clear that every detail was thoughtfully taken care of. Our room was bright, clean, spacious, and comfortable, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. One of my favorite areas is the outdoor restaurant/bar, especially in the evening with all of the lights. It creates such a warm and relaxing atmosphere. This hotel consistently exceeds our expectations, and we always look forward to coming back. Highly, highly recommend!

My compliments and thanks to the entire hotel staff members at the Garden City Hotel. This is a gem of a boutique hotel where they take pride in their service with always a warm smile. The park-like settings (with bunnies and fireflys during the summer) are always inviting and the spacious grounds allow for privacy.
I have traveled extensively and this hotel's level of service, rooms, and accomodations never disappoints.

I just wanted to say thank you for the great service during my stay. The hotel was so clean and well taken care of, and I really appreciated all the attention to detail. My room was spotless, organized, and very comfortable, which made my stay even better.

Excellent experience, friendly professional staff

Very classy

I stayed at the Garden City Hotel for a business and was surprised by the quality, elegance and the old world charm. It is a legitimate 5 star hotel, comparable to similar high-end hotels in Europe. The front concierges were courteous and took care to ensure that all my needs were met. The room is spacious with marble bathroom (shower only, no tub, but fixtures were classic and elegant) with quality bath robes, slippers and other amenities. The bar was classy and drinks were really good (e.g., you know when they use those dark, really good quality cherries for the Old Fashioned). I would definitely go back to this hotel if another occasion arises. Highly recommended.

Where do I begin, my daughter high school prom was located at Jericho Terrace, so I wanted a location close enough that I did not have to commute far to the venue. We went to The Garden City hotel first and priced Suites, they were a little pricey, so we kept looking. We found another location "also 4 stars" and we reserved the dates.

My daughter really loved how beautiful the Garden City hotel was and asked if we can inquire if they had rooms available instead of a Suite. I spoke to the FRONT DESK MANAGER and I explained everything I explained at the beginning of the paragraph, I stated that it was a PROM SEND OFF he stated that they do not allow parties in the rooms, I stated it will NOT be a party my daughter would be getting dressed in the room and my family will be downstairs where she would be taking pictures in the lobby as well outside before going to prom. NEVER did this man state that it would NOT be allowed to do either on the PROPERTY!! so fast forward we cancel the other 4 STAR reservation and book with the Garden city hotel. Day of I have a Photographer on site as well as a LUXURY car to drive my daughter to venue, Staff goes up to my photographer and states that I cannot take any pictures on the property. I go to the lobby and speak to the Manager on site for June 18th, he proceeds to say the same thing to me that there is a WEDDING on site same day as my daughter's prom and the BRIDE booked the entire location and that if I wanted to take pictures anywhere on the property, I needed to pay an extra 500$ to match what the bride paid!!! Meaning no pictures in the lobby, hallways, elevator, in the valet area or the garden across the way....

I wasted a lot of time trying to reason with the manager but to no avail, I was told to go across the street to a park and take the pictures I needed. I paid a lot of money to stay in the room as well as book the Photographer and rent a luxury car for her send off. To be told to now pay an extra 500$ was absurd as well as completely unfair and I even asked if any money would be refunded for my experience. NOTHING AT ALL!!! I was basically asked to just go take the pictures needed inside my room. Or just leave the front desk area because there was nothing else that could be done!!! They called security on me and my daughter's father and escorted him out the lobby he was very upset Rightfully so!!

The wedding taking place the same day as my daughter's prom sendoff was NEVER disclosed to me the day of booking or was I ever I talked about the NO PICTURE POLICY. This manager on site on June 8th also stated that this is NOT the first time this has happened and that in itself is a problem!!! You guys say anything to get the person to book just to turn around and set limitations never expressed. I would've kept my previous reservations and gotten all the pictures I wanted in the lobby and main entrance of the other 4 STAR hotel. I have verbalized this to everyone I know because I also work in the LONG ISLAND area in a very well-known hospital and surprisingly no one was shocked at the TREATMENT I received at the Graden City Hotel!!! says a lot about them and less about ME also the fact that I was told it is the policy and there is nothing that can be done. When they NEVER tried to help me at all!!!

But if my SKIN COLOR was more like the MANAGERS ON SITE the day of June 18th, I'm sure they would've tried their best to assist me in anything I needed!!

Will NEVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL EVER AGAIN!!!!
