Functional hotel as expected, excellent staff, breakfast needs a boost. A little expensive
Pros:

Stafdf were excellent and helped me get a bag of ice for my colleague who had a swollen foot

Cons:

Breakfast buffy was not great. Selection limited and cooked breakfast section over cooked

Convenient stay for NEC events
Pros:

Good sized room with comfortable bed. Very good choice at the buffet style breakfast included in the room rate, all nice and hot which is often not the case with buffets. Check in staff were very friendly and helpful and seemed genuinely interested in why we were staying there. Large car park which was payable, but hotel gave a discount if staying, quite pricey but nothing unusual for hotel car parks nowadays. There's a pub next door too.

Cons:

Hotel advertises itself as being "close" and "handy" for the NEC and BP Pulse Live venue. However, walking to the venue proven challenging as no footpaths and route followed a busy dual carriageway. The NEC car parks have pedestrian walkways to the NEC but these are not signposted from the hotel and are somewhat confusing (not the hotel's fault I appreciate). Consider getting a taxi !

Disappointing and not as convenient as expected
Pros:

Staff were polite, knowledgeable and accommodating, breakfast was good with availability of all options. Check in was easy rooms were available early. Convenient parking.

Cons:

Apart from booking over six months ago, requesting adjacent family rooms. We ended up being given rooms on the ground and second floors, on booking we were assured there was a shuttle bus which ran from the hotel to BP Pulse which it didn't necessitating the use and additional cost of a taxi. I stayed in the ground floor room with my teenage Son. We retired to bed at midnight. The what sounded like drunken revelry from the rooms on both sides continued loudly until around 4.45am when I banged on the walls to ask them stop as it was keeping my Son and I awake, the noises stopped eventually. My wife found the beds to be excruciating hard and the pillows even more so resulting in little to no sleep. We enjoyed the breakfast, but on reflection we would have been better to saved the have the £320 cost and driven back to Southampton after the event we attended

Ok, BEWARE OF EXTRA CHARGES NOT MADE CLEAR AT TIME OF BOOKING.
Cons:

No information on parking or pets until booked and arrival at property where informed a £69 one night stay (10pm until 8am) increased by £45 due to parking and pet options, NOT MADE CLEAR.
