Excellent
Pros:

The breakfast and coffee were great. We bought our dog who was well catered for . The young man waiter at breakfast on the Saturday was very customer focused.

Cons:

The bathroom door was warped and needed replacing but it was a small point when the shower was so good.

rough but OK for one night
Pros:

The reception was nice and the staff friendly.
The bar area was small but well staffed and we were served quickly
The car park was large and free to park
check in was quick and check out simple easy and also fast

Cons:

our ground floor room was dingy, the corridors were dingy and worn
the car park was poorly lit and as you enter you are at the rear of the hotel which left a down at heel feeling
the room felt damp, the AC didnt work and the provided heaters looked poorly maintained and left a dusty smell in the room
the bed mattress was worn but weirdly hard and left us with a poor nights sleep. the sofa bed was worse still and felt gappy!
the value for what we paid was just about acceptable for one night, but we didn't pay much and that says a lot about how poor the room was. I expected much better from holiday in. it felt more like a careworn independent hotel than a multinational chain.

Good room and great breakfast - lovely conference room
Pros:

Was staying here for a conference the next day. The room & bed was lovely. Nice and quiet. I had a good nights sleep.
The breakfast was good. Lunch was amazing very hot and impressed with quality. The lancaster suite was really good.

Loved location, room was spacious and clean. Used the sauna that was good.
Pros:

Loved the location, cleanliness and staff were outstanding. Especially Jodi on the bar and restaurant.

Cons:

Boneless chicken bites dry and cold not much chicken in it. Too much breadcrumbs. Breakfast 5/10 sausages not good quality. A delay in clearing up used plates. Especially when there was a lot of staff members about.

Disappointing and overpriced for what we experienced.
Pros:

Proximity to destination. Reception staff friendly and helpful.

Cons:

Room was very basic and sparsely furnished. There was no vanity mirror in the bedroom and when one was brought to our room it was placed on the floor away from any plug point. Poor lighting on dressing table.

It was okay for a one-night stay. Largely due to the location.
Pros:

The reception staff were very nice. The bar and reception area is nicely presented. The rooms are well signposted.

Cons:

Our 'suite' was nicely proportioned but I was expecting a lounge/sitting area separate from the bedroom. The TV was woefully small for the size of room. The wi-fi didn't work. The edge of the bathroom floor was not as clean as it could have been and the plug in the bath would not seal so it was impossible to use the bath.
