Beautiful hotel with excellent management.
Pros:

Beautifully appointed and decorated. Ancient mixed with modern style that was very peaceful to be in. Excellent service.
We had a small misunderstanding with the laundry service due to language barrier but the management went out of their way to resolve it for us and ensure we left on a good note.

Lots of charm, the rooftop garden and koi pond were relaxing, staff wear traditional dress, and it’s in a great area of Beijing. The owner and staff were friendly and welcoming. When we left one of the staff brought us pomegranate juice while we waited outside for our ride. Breakfast buffet was delicious. If we return to Beijing we would stay again

Very nice hotel in good location in Xi´an.
It's outside of the city and next to Giant Wild Goose Pagoda and Everbright City. Personally I think that is the place where you want to stay in Xi´an.
2 min walk to Giant Wild Goose Pagoda and Everbright City. Less than 10 min walk to Tang Paradise (you want to go there).
City wall, Bell- and Drum tower and Muslim Quarter are easy to reach by Taxi or DiDi. You can walk from city wall to all of them.
You want to go there maybe once or twice, but you can hangout in Everbright city every evening.
The hotel is very nice. Great rooms, with nice bath and very nice hotel garden. Staff is very helpful and friendly.
Only downside for me, the bed was a little to hard for me.
But if a aren´t suffering from back issues like me, you will have no problem and even if you are like me, you can live with it.

definitelly not up its glamour
Pros:

the general experience was ok, but considering the price this is definitelly not where it should have been. room was clean and fine, but we had to change the first since it was heavily smelling smoke

Cons:

the hotel is haunted by cheap colored LED and playful signs. i was expecting this to be a quite luxury experience but the staff was just simply going through the moves when assisting us. the location is fundamentally unreachable unless via taxi.
airport shuttle is provided at a fee which 4 times standard taxi.
