Lovely room .... very nice breakfast with good selection ... overall, a very nice hotel
Nothing I can think of
Breakfast was very good. I took ill whilst there and the hotel staff got me an ambulance and they looked after my mum whilst I was in hospital. We had dinner the first night which was really good. Unfortunately being ill I did not get to appreciate much else.
There was 2 little niggles. The menu was the same for 3 nights; perhaps a daily special would be appreciate if you are staying longer. Also, the lighting in the room was low which was a nice atmosphere but out room had a small window at back of hotel so it was naturally dark and there was no bright light near the mirror for drying and styling your hair (important for ladies).
Didn't have breakfast or other food but lovely atmosphere
Nothing
It was a very well run hotel all the staff was very nice & helpfull food was really good and rooms too. We will be going back again & lots to see & do very nice place to visit.
Nothing
Excellent central location. Great breakfast. Good sized room overlooking Clifford's Tower. Friendly helpful staff.
The room was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed for a standard two-night stay. A big perk was the air-conditioning fan in our room. It worked really well and kept us cool throughout the night. I can’t remember the name or brand of it, but I’d definitely consider buying something similar for my room back home. Another plus was the blinds, these worked well to keep sunlight out and it stayed dark in our room even when the sun came up.
We didn’t interact with the staff much during our stay, but when we did they were always smiling, polite, and friendly. The location was also a huge plus, as everything was close by and there were plenty of attractions nearby, which made it really convenient for getting around and exploring the area.
The biggest downside to this room was the noise. For the two days my partner and I stayed, we didn’t really have the best night’s sleep due to the sounds. This was despite being in an end room. We could hear people opening and closing doors, and the radiator in our room kept making a popping or clanking sound which woke us up several times throughout the night. We turned it off because the room got quite hot, but whether it was on or off it seemed to make the same noise. I’m not sure exactly where the sound was coming from, but it was definitely a nuisance.
The shower itself was nice and hot and had good water pressure. However, the bath was really narrow. My partner almost slipped while showering because there wasn’t much space to turn, and the bath mat didn’t stick properly so it kept moving.
The room itself also isn’t very well decorated and feels quite plain. The furniture is basic wooden pieces, the lighting is dim, and there are white hangers and a plain white curtain over the bath. It feels quite bare and lacking in character. It’s not an up-to-date hotel by any means, but it was clean and functional for a short stay.
Good location and good facilities
Had to pay to park
The location, everything is walkable from where the hotel is.
The parking is a rip off, The room was dirty with the carpets lifting up. The tap in the bathroom basin wasn't long enough to reach the sink properly and every time you used it, it splashed water everywhere. The shower in a bath is something I haven't seen since the 80's it kept going hot then cold. The grouting in the bathroom was unfinished and of a poor quality. The breakfast was not very good. Everything cooked on a budget. Not what I expect from a 4 star hotel.
Enjoyed been walking distance to centre and nice bars eateries nearby.
Family room says double beds in my eyes maybe more 3/4......getting 4 in was a tight squeeze and very unrestful night. If really little kids might be ok.
Bar was a little pricey
