Please note, the property offers valet parking only and it costs £30 per day. Guests must not park their own car unless using Clifford's car park opposite, which is run by the council. Please be aware that the Clifford's Tower is undertaking some vital conservation works to protect the tower and make improvements for visitors - this will restrict your view of the tower slightly from some of the rooms, but everything will be back to normal later this year. Sorry for the inconvenience

Great breakfasts, family room was well equipped
Reception staff really slick and helpful
Could have benefitted from a bigger bar/lounge area to relax in.
Restaurant , staff was nice but the receptionist wasn’t so great also the location was good
The bed was really uncomfortable was really hard was like sleeping on a iron board also the pillows gave you a stiff neck , what made you not get much sleep

I booked this hotel as it was advertised on Booking.com as having parking. Once booked on the confirmation email it stated no pre book able parking spaces, had to see on the day and valet service only at £30 per day. I could have cancelled, but decided to find alternative parking and keep the hotel booking.
Excellent location. The staff were great and explained all the local shops, places to eat etc.
Parking isn’t cheap but it’s the centre of York.

Location is amazing, bed was reasonably comfortable.
Staff were efficient but not friendly. Room was really hot , no air conditioning ( which is ok ) but windows hardly open, which resulted in s as very uncomfortable night.
Bedding was clean but the room / bathroom was grubby.
There were renovations which didn’t attract me but I only got the message telling me about it after it was too late to cancel ( just a bit cheeky ).
The location was spot on ,rooms clean and very comfortable and the staff couldn't do enough to make our stay memorable
