Pros:

Stepped back in time once we entered the foyer. 20s Jazz music playing in the background. Guests smiling, laughing and dancing..I had to compliment a lady on her "Charleston" The customer care from the staff was world class! Thank you all so much. Oh and the hotel itself!! Wow wow wow. Do yourselves a favour!

The hotel is nice but when I mentioned the red light shining in the window I was just told to close the drapes.
Cons:

The light shining in the living room window made me feel like I was staying in a brothel. The photo was my view into the living room from the bedroom. Try to avoid a room facing out to the street.

A fun time in this historic hotel. Appreciated the attention to the history of the hotel.
Pros:

Room spacious and warm. Bed comfortable with side lights. Location was the tops as we are walkers and could access the sights easily.

Cons:

The main lighting in the room we couldn't figure out. The standard lamp had a faulty socket so it didn't work. The off / on lever in the shower needed attention. It fell off when when went to use it. We reported both these things to the staff when we checked out.
It appears the hotel only had one lift. Two would serve guests more better. I normally don't mind walking stairs but at the time of the stay my leg muscles were not the best. Too much walking up and down slopes. ( Not your fault. )

Pros:

A bygone era never to be forgotten. We loved the diverse social and relaxation areas—there was always a place to grab a drink or a quiet corner to relax.

Cons:

Our room although serviced daily and well designed it was very small.

Quaint place to stay in hobart in downtown
Pros:
