Hadley's Orient Hotel

Hadleys was recommended by a mate as a very good comfortable conveniently located hotel. From checking in to checking out my expectations were exceeded. In particular the reception staff are first class - professional, helpful friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. I will be recommending Hadleys and hope to be back soon.

Hadleys is as promised. A boutique hotel nestled in history. The room had all modern comforts while feeling like I had stepped back in time. I enjoyed the art bar with pianist and the buffet breakfast. I had an issue with the air conditioner and this was dealt with promptly.

We stayed at Hadley's to celebrate my mum's 80th birthday, and the entire team was absolutely remarkable. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. I could not fault the hotel, the staff, or the location. Everything was simply perfect.

We booked the family room, which was incredibly comfortable and elegant. It genuinely felt like we were staying in a royal castle. As part of the celebrations, I also arranged a horse and carriage ride through Hobart, which was absolutely magical, followed by a superb high tea experience.

The hotel's central location made it easy to access all the delicious food and attractions that Hobart has to offer. It was also very convenient for my mother to get around and enjoy the city comfortably.

Thank you to everyone at Hadley's for helping make my mum's 80th birthday such a happy, memorable, and special occasion. We will definitely be back again! 😊⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Perfect location and a comfortable, friendly — and indeed unique — place to stay in Hobart. Hadley's is the 'Grand Lady' hotel of Hobart, but beautifully maintained and restored to all contemporary comforts to be a unique and special place. The only thing that stops me giving 5 stars is the lack of a restaurant for dinner when one is a busywork traveller. However, the breakfast is great and of course there are plenty of lovely dining options to explore around the city.

Brilliant place to stay in the beautiful city of Hobart. Loved the history and atmosphere of this hotel. Staff were amazing. Friendly, professional and knowledgeable for places to eat, visit and enjoy. Breakfast was delicious, and happy hour in the cozy bar was a great way to end the day. Will be back when we visit the lovely city of Hobart again.

Great location, the staff were very helpful and accommodating. Only downside no restraunt for dinner. Each day a complimentary free small savoury or sweet muffin at front desk. Lovely art work on walls.

This is the most charming place to stay in Hobart - the location is perfect, the building is beautiful and the staff are really lovely. (Ash and Sofia, we appreciate you!). The attention to detail in the historic aspects of the hotel are especially memorable. Don’t miss the afternoon tea in the atrium!

Sensational location and gorgeous decor

I am a Hadleys regular when I travel to Hobart. I love the atmosphere and combined elegance and coziness that is particular to Hadleys. This time around my room was very comfortable, clean and mostly quiet except for some Saturday night street revelry, which is an issue beyond the Hotel’s control. Mine was a front facing first floor room so those seeking Saturday night peace and quiet could ask for a higher floor or back room.

All staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. The breakfasts are great as always though I do miss the a la carte options and it did feel at times that service staff were stretched thin. I had to chase them once or twice to order coffee. I also note the removal of Hadleys restaurant and room service for food options, which I also miss. Overall though, I would still recommend Hadleys as a charming, comfortable place to stay, which is well located in the heart of Hobart.
