Location was excellent in good walking distance from everything. Room and bed were comfortable. Beautiful old style of hotel.
The air conditioning was too noisy preventing a good nights sleep.
Только расположение и внешний вид.
Странный отель. Претензии на старую добрую Англию, а персонал на завтраках практически не работает. Не успевают элементарно, то одно закончилось, то другое. Совершенно не соответствует рейтингу.
We loved the interior design, beautiful and classical style. Staff were super friendly and great to get along with, especially reception who were accomodating and personable.
Nothing.
It was a great location easy walk to everything I needed. Comfortable, loved the bathroom products too. A great place to stay
Nothing
Liked the location and the historical feel.
Creaky floors and thin walls, although to be expected in such an old building.
Quirky and good attention to detail to keep the period feel. Centrally located and easy walks to CBD and harbour etc.
Beds were a little soft and bouncy for us but that’s a personal preference. Blankets and bedspreads on the beds reminded me of staying in my grandma’s house 60 yrs ago, so felt odd rather than a nice comfortable doona. Again, just a personal preference and not a whinge.
Staff very friendly. Location was very good. Room was a decent size. Felt clean and comfortable.
Communication could have been better.
The heritage features and bar ambiance was wonderful.
Breakfast was a bit ordinary and not value for money
Our room was beautiful, location excellent and the staff were amazing, especially Ash. Highly recommend staying there.
The staff were very efficient and friendly. Centrally located, perfect for exploring Hobart. A lovely old world charm, which is wonderful for a true Hobart experience.
Granted it is an old building with restored rooms, the noise was awful. If you are a light sleeper or noise sensitive this is not the place for you. The rooms were no soundproof - you could hear guests in their rooms and walking the corridors noisily at night (this is a guest issue not the hotels fault). The air conditioning units outside the windows were very loud, and staff emptying bins and conversing in the laneway were quite noisy too.
The bathroom had no exhaust fan, which made it quite uncomfortable to get ready in after showering and left moisture on every surface in the bathroom.
The rooms, whilst elegant, are quite dated i.e. dust on cane furniture, scratched paint.
Close to everything
Very clean
Awsome staff
Not wnough lights
When we moved into the room the safe did not close properly. After 3 visits by the staff it still was not fully functional.
The TV could not be used, even after the sari member came up and tried to make it function. It appeared a previous guest might have meddled with the TV to use his own PC interface. That was not removed
Downtown location
Interesting Historical building
Location and staff
Bed was tilting to one side and pillows were too high for me.
The history of the building, location and staff
Nothing
Location was great. The room on level 4 was great.
The standard hotel room is quite small and we didn’t like it. We upgraded to a room on Level 4 was great.
