Excellent location with stunning views. Staff and management were very kind, professional, and offered a very warm welcome. The room is clean, comfortable and well mainained. The food was perfect with a great variety of options. Really recommended
My wife and I stayed 3 nights, arriving at 1PM after the long airport transfer.
The receptionist confirmed our prepayment, copied our passports, then we followed a porter who carried our bags up the stairway to the 2nd floor.
Room #204 was tiled and clean with a hallway closet and a large fully outfitted bathroom with a glass shower. The bedroom had a very firm queen across a desk(chair, refer, water & kettle) with small TV(Al Jazeera, CNN, France 24 & many sports/movies) then an easy chair & several window views to the sea.
The 7AM breakfast was excellent and nicely serviced with customized omelettes/pancakes/waffles in addition to the buffet: fresh fruits & juice, hot dishes(oatmeal, fried eggs, baked beans, bacon/sausage), cereals, cheeses, many breads/cakes/croissants & coffee.
The 30’ x 90’ lap pool is beautiful & clean with an adjacent 10 station seaview gym. Directly across the street are craft stalls and the beach access gate.
Overall, a perfect option to the well known Mamba Point Hotel next door.
We have been staying at the Cape Hotel for 5 yrs. We are grateful for their understanding our mission and need to save $$$$
I stayed at the Cape Hotel from January 10-17, 2026. This was my seventh time staying at this fabulous hotel since January 2014. Where to begin? The Cape Hotel is the best hotel in Monrovia. The staff is professional and courteous. In fact, I have come to know many of the staff over the years, including the hotel manager Ghassan Rasamny, who always warmly greets and welcomes me to “my home away from home.” The hotel’s rooms and facilities are always well kept and clean. The hotel is secure. The beautiful restaurant and deck are always full of dignitaries, business people, scholars, researchers, and families. Meanwhile,, you can’t beat the hotel’s location. The hotel is located in Mamba Point, a quiet corner of bustling Monrovia. But you’re steps away from the US embassy and the best local craft shops in Monrovia. (Be sure to check out Keita Dulla’s Art Center.). Even more, the Cape Hotel is about ten minutes away by car from Sinkor, Monrovia’s emergent commercial center. So, you won’t miss a beat if you stay at the Cape Hotel. I have recommended the Cape Hotel to several
US-based colleagues. They’ve all raved about the hotel. I plan on returning to Liberia in January 2027 for another research trip. I already can’t wait to walk into the shining lobby and to be back in my home away from home.
Breakfast was good, and if I dislike what was available, staff were always available to help and prepare what I wanted. I had a very pleasant experience with one of your staff Precious in the dinning area. She was kind, engaging, and professional. House keepers did their job well and is readily available to assist when needed. Staff at the front desk were pleasant and professional. On the day of my departure, my debit card got stuck in the ATM at the hotel, they make a call to Echo Bank and my card was retrieved from the ATM within 30mins to an hour. I really appreciate the quick actions and effort on their part. I felt safe and slept well at night knowing the hotel was secured.
I rented a car for a day to attend my mom funeral and had to buy gas in addition to the payment already made, I think everything should be included in the fees so guests are fully aware of the total cost for service provided.
AC in room was inoperable during my stay, pool under repair and the cleanliness could take a step up.
The best hotel in Liberia.
Rooms are comfortable, as clean as you will get in any EU 5* hotel.
Swimming pool is the best place to relax, have a drink, or a meal (yes, there is a section of the pool where you will be served food).
Gim is fully equipped.
The staff is very helpful and nice.
I haven't had a single complaint.
If you are going to Liberia, this is the place to stay.
This hotel was extremely comfortable and clean. The hotel staff were also very helpful, especially Maher. The hotel has a beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean.
j'ai apprecié le calme et la discretion de cet etablissement.
rien a repprocher
Room was clean and comfortable. Pool and gym very clean and well equipped. The politeness and efficiency of the staff ranged for excellent to poor. HR take note. But overall, I'll come back here next visit.
The surliness of some of the staff was a surprise (compensated by the excellence of others). The restaurant was average. The restaurant next door was much better.
Our booking was confirmed through Expedia, but when we arrived we were informed the hotel was full. After a talk with the manager they were able to find us a room for us. Despite the miscommunication between the Hotel and Expedia the staff took very good care of us, which made us decide to stay longer.
The Hotel has a very nice pool and gym and is located in a busy part of town, close to the beach. We really enjoyed our stay and recommend it highly.
Location
Nothing can think of
Breakfast was always good. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Service is good.
Lovely hotel, good food and the staff is excellent. The rooms are spacious and the beds are great. Rooms gets cleaned daily, fridge in the rooms and supplies to make your own coffee or tea if needed. Breakfast consists of fresh fruits, eggs, bacon and an assortment of various things. They have a large pool, and a well fitted gym. All your need will be meet when staying at Cape. Don't forget to visit "The Nest" when staying here, it's a view to remember.
Friendly staff and nice views over the sea.
The food is good and also the prices.
Happy hour on Fridays with a nice atmosphere and you can enjoy listening to a relaxing live performance of singer and guitarist.
Breakfast, staff, ocean view, pool, and gyp are great.
The room windows toward the sea side were blocked by the bed. There was no private balcony, only a public one.
The view on the ocean is nice, the ocean itself, however, full of waste. Not the fault of the hotel, for sure. In addition, walking the area is not recommended. Food in the restaurant is expensive and so is the beer.
Rooms here are ok but not of international standard: for example you can’t plug your phone in to charge without unplugging the bed side light (one per bed, not one each side). So it needs a revamp in the rooms to really justify these rates. We were also initially given a room a grade down from that we booked and had to negotiate its correction.
Plus points were helpful staff, an excellent swimming pool and good buffet breakfast. Pricey but reliable airport transfers even in the night.
There are few choices in Monrovia around this standard and this is probably the best overall value, though the restaurant next door is better and cheaper.
The members of the staff were pleasant and helpful. The chef took much care to meet my vegan food requirements. Compared to hotels of similar quality in other parts of the world, the price could have been lower.
