We did not get a king deluxe room with separate shower and city views that we paid extra for. Got a shower over a bath, half windows instead of full length and a view of a solid brick wall.

Not very happy at all
Pros:

The decor of the room was like a prison cell I felt very intimidated by the colours and smell of the room. You also need more staff for serving food service.
I have stayed in Mercure hotels before and after this experience I may not stay with
Mercure hotels the decor needs change.
