Great value for money hotel , well managed and looked after.
Pros:

Nice location, compact hotel, friendly staff, excellent bed, very clean and fresh, lunch and dinner great, coffee excellent,beer on tap.

Cons:

Didn't like being charged for a late check-out for a hotel that wasn't exactly booked out.

Over priced for standard of facilities
Pros:

Location was good, staff were friendly.

Cons:

We asked for rooms close to each other and we were all floors apart, could not use the elevators freely to get to each room on our booking.
No water in fridges, kettle was broken. Smelt dusty.

Pros:

Location. Comfortable bed.

Cons:

Bathroom floor looked dirty and mouldy. Shower was weak and only had one position. Towels had stains on.
Breakfast not great. Very few choices for hot food.

Staff are not attentive. Receptionist kept rushing me to pay with my debit card and when I was on the phone sorting funds kept tapping it without me telling him it’s okay to do so. Kept asking me “ok ma’am can we pay with this card again?” After knowing I’m trying to sort the funds out as I told him I wanted to pay cash to which he said yes to originally, then tapped my card for what I thought was just to be on file as expected but then I was charged for one of my rooms. I would have been fine with it if he listened properly and explained they don’t take cash BEOFRE taking my card and charging me. Facilities are awful. Shower is either super hot or super cold, no inbetween (or for at least 10 minutes then you might get Luke warm water). Staff are incredibly out of touch with reality. You order room service and have normal mannerisms with them and they look at you like you’re an alien and they don’t know how to speak? I also called reception 3 times at night, 3 the next day and a couple more the following to no avail — had to take the elevator down to reception to speak with someone. I put on the door for my room to be cleaned and it never got cleaned, they said it was the sign to keep out and I explained no, that’s the opposite side - I have the side that says “come in”. For a week or less stay my room didn’t get cleaned once and was offered once I was back from a full day out and tired. I wasn’t going to wait. Incompetent, TV didn’t even work properly either. Worst stay.

In general all of level 2 badly needs an update, the moment you step out of the elevator all the door number are falling off the doors, rooms are clean but the bathrooms need an update and all facilities should be working…
Other floors have clearly been updated

Not a place I'd stay again
Pros:

Location was great

Cons:

No drinking water available. Service at bar was poor.
Had a fire evacuation alarm telling us to leave building at 11pm , which was a false alarm but staff didn't help to let everyone know.
Also told car park was full this wasn't true.
Not happy with accommodation.
