Mar & Sol Hotel y Restaurante

Wonderful and friendly staff, we booked this hotel randomly but it was a perfect opportunity to see the area. Very beautiful property and they have great food. Very affordable and very clean rooms.

Nice check-in, friendly staff 👌, well maintained property. Rooms are a bit small for 2 beds.

There was no water and couldn’t shower or use the toilet,

We reserved 2 rooms for 5 pax and got 2 rooms with double beds. We were offered to have a foldable bed added to one of the rooms but it would have blocked the passage between the beds and the very small bathroom. Bathroom so small that you had to go over the toilet bowl to get to the shower cabin. We finally got one room replaced with one double and one queen, but the night table was turned sideways so the queen size bed could fit. Only one bedsheet (no cover) on each bed, where a/c has to run constantly due to high humidity and heat. The exhaust fan in the bathroom might have worked, or not: it was completely silent with or without the light on or off. We were told that the price was calculated by person, thus the room with queen size bed cost 50% more than the other room, despite its same size.
One of the maintenance person advised that the pool was cleaned every day, but when we told him that there were flies and leaves floating on it, he immediately went to clean it: this is the only time in 3 days that we saw pool maintenance at work. Nice touch is the sea water pool on the reef. Slippery but good photos to be taken. The food was ok, mostly fried, good slim french fries and vegetables. Breakfast buffet was not heated. Free access to juice and soda machine all day.

Great view of the ocean from the property & nice pool. Clean rooms but definitely needs an updating of the bathroom & doors. Too many cracks & spaces for bugs to come in. Food from the all inclusive menu is just ok but the regular menu was great. The staff is very kind & friendly. Had a great time there!

Rooms are small. The pools were nice.

I stayed in a room in the second floor and the shower was duty.

When we arrived to the property, we were informed that our reservation had been canceled. We did not cancel our reservation. The property itself is older but okay, and the staff are very nice as well.
Not sure. I would recommend staying here. The food in the buffet is okay at best and very over priced. They got us a room, not the room re had reserved, it was a very small room to say the least, no room for luggage. That said it's El Salvado.

Staff attentive, very clean, rooms well organized. Been there 2 times and I will be back again.
