This is no longer a 5 star hotel due to the age of everything .
Pros:

Location is very good.

Cons:

The property is outdated; it needs a major renovation. My room air-conditioning was very loud, and the thermostat was not working properly.

The room keys kept failing. It’s very annoying to have to come up and down the lift and then queue up to get a new key. Very poor.

Pros:

Great location to stay as we were seeing a concert at the Adelaide entertainment centre only 10 min in taxi. Walk easily over to Rundle Mall,Casino and Festival centre and Adelaide Oval. Hotel was great

Pros:

We h ad a view over parliament house down to the St Peters cathedral which was lit up at night. Government house across the road lit up too. Walk into the city or catch the tram. Breakfast was great. Good variety of food. Piano. Bar in the foya

Cons:

There is going to be a multi story building built behind parliament house which will block all the beautiful views over the city. A real shame for this hotel because it is fantastic as it is now. The fountain ,river Torrens, football stadium all lit up at night.
