This was a quick overnight stay, but I hope we can come back many times
Pros:

I expected charm, but this was more than that. They have preserved the old character while making it as comfortable and up to date in services as possible. I loved it

Everything was great except the bed

Cons:

The bed and pillows were so bad that i had to leave early. I had lingering neck and back pain for a few weeks after staying here

Golden Sun nite
Pros:

Everything was fine in the room.

Cons:

Parking was mandatory valet with NO other options in the old town. I was told I could park in a nearby church lot for $21 , but had to get my car out by 6am. The city of Golden will not allow any overnight parking. I do not engage in Valet parking for many reasons. The staff could not provide me any alternative. I have stayed there numerous times , but unfortunately it will be my last stay strictly due to no parking options.

Amazing
Pros:

We loved the location. It was walking distance to everything Golden has to offer. The room was a amazing with a southwestern style that really made it a great small mountain hotel

Perfect Spot in Golden
Pros:

Stayed here in Feb 2026 for Goldens in Golden. Outstanding stay. Location to EVERYTHING in Golden is excellent. We walked from one end of the town to the other from this hotel. We walked to the Coors Brewery Tour in 10 minutes. Location. Location. Location was excellent. The rooms were cute and cozy. The staff was kind and friendly. This is clearly a well-run establishment.

It was the worst hotel experience in over 10 years!
Pros:

Only the location. The hotel was one of the worst hotel's I've stayed at in over 10 years. It was so bad, my wife and I checked out and went to a Marriott property for half the price and was what a hotel should be. I would not recommend that anyone stay here.

Cons:

A lot. From the front desk staff- they could care less, to the overall poor conditions of the rooms including the bedding, floors uneven, bathroom, furniture everything was outdated-dirty and old.

We'll probably come back -- it's a fun, cozy hotel. But the parking!
Pros:

Excellent location in downtown Golden, accessible to many great restaurants. Comfortable beds and large rooms -- great that the hotel is dog-friendly but also very clean.

Cons:

My main complaint is the parking situation -- I get it that we need to allow the valet to park our vehicle, but when few people are staying and there is plenty of parking in the garage, why can't we just keep our key and enter and exit without having to ask the valet to get our car? It just seems like a time-wasting step to me.

Cozy Hotel at the Heart of Golden
Pros:

At the main street of Golden right across a popular pizza restaurant… room was spacious with large bed… wifi worked perfectly… toilet was spotless clean with nice hot shower and fragrant soap and shampoo… friendly staff and easy to talk to… quick 5-minute walk to the Colorado School of Mines campus, would definitely stay again :)

Cons:

I hope breakfast was included and 100 usd deposit wasn’t required because sometimes one may encounter problems with the bank during the deposit reversal process

Pros:

Very clean and great location for the reason we were there.

Cons:

The staff from check in to bar seemed bothered to wait on us. Bar was not extra busy but took quite awhile for waitress or bartender to wait on us. When they did they didn’t want to answer questions. When a friend showed up we pulled up an extra chair from one of the extra tables and the waitress, couldn’t get there fast enough to move all our drinks, even our coats to another table. We don’t go out for dinner and a show and get a hotel room for an evening, but friends ask us. This was not a good start to our evening.
However, the waitress for breakfast was very personable. Keep her!
