Medar Hotel

Well located. Right by Istiklal Street: less than a block away by staircase. But not in a quiet part of the neighborhood. Nonetheless, a decent hotel I would stay at again.

I truly like my stay. I pick this hotel as it i lived in the neighborhood for a few years. Its clean, neat, secure and very accessible hotel. Plus on my arrival i was having some problems and they were extremely helpful. Maybe if possible windows can be isolated a bit to prevent the noise but as im used to this it was not a big deal for me.
Definitely will stay again.

Hotel sucio. No corresponde a la calificación que otorga Hoteles.com. Pésimo servicio de limpieza, simplemente dejaban las tazas de café sin lavar. Sábanas y toallas viejas y con mal olor. No recomendable. Para acceder al hotel hay que subir escalones desde la calle y con maletas es muy pesado.

Otel çok temiz, kliması çok iyi. Personel çok ilgili. Kaliteli bir oteldi. Yine geleceğiz

Pros: The hotel is positioned near Galata Tower so it allows you to go everywhere by walking. Stuff was super nice, helpful and friendly.

Cons: the hotel is entirely built in wood which made our room a little bit dated and dark - a little renovation is needed

Overall the experience was good

Great little hotel close to best restaraunts and shops, there is an amazing view from a rooftop bar they have. Cutest rooms with everything needed, there is an elevator too. My room had a cute balkony with table and chairs outside. Gorgeous design and super attending staff! Would definitely come back! My family and friends have stayed at Medar many times, all are happy. Very clean, only one thing that was unpleasant is little mold in the shower which I'm sure they are working on. Thank you Medar Hotel!

What a great stay! The room was perfect with a little balcony. It is in a great location, a block of the main strip so it is quiet but convenient. Also, it had good water pressure, which makes for a great shower after a long day checking out the city. The staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful! I had to make some travel changes and they helped me call the airlines and figure out flight changes. Highly recommend staying at the Medar Hotel!

The Medar is a very nice little hotel. I had a great room, very clean,comfortable bed. Super shower. The staff were very nice. Very happy. One thing I will say for less mobile visitors is the entrance to the hotel is more or less in the middle of some steep steps. I had no problem at all but if you have mobility issues perhaps this would not be a good choice for you. But in fact the Galata area has some very steep streets so keep that in mind. But I was very happy with my stay at the Medar. I had a view of a stunning mosque across the Golden Horn from my balcony. Lit up at night.

Honestly I like this property but was surprised because when i booked for my room it was supposed to be bed and breakfast and upon arrival I was surprised that there was no breakfast.

Wonderful stay at Medar Hotel! The staff were all exceptional and made us feel super welcome and taken care of. The location is perfect - close to all the main attractions and lots of options for things to do in Taksim Square. The hotel itself was decorated nicely and the building and the room was super nice as well. We did have to ask them to change our sheets when we first arrived but besides that, everything was clean and comfortable and felt homely. The restaurant was closed but the meal options for room service were great, convenient and quick. Overall, amazing hotel to stay at in Istanbul!

Rezervasyon yaptığım sırada 2 kişilik kahvaltı satın almama rağmen otel bunun sadece bir kişilik ödeme olduğunu iddia etti, eğlenmek için yaptığım küçük seyehatte keyfimi kaçırmamak için durumu uzatmadım fakat çok çirkin bir durum olduğunu belirtmek istiyorum. Onun dışında ekonomik olmasına rağmen güzel bir otel.

Konum olarak mükemmel, karşılamada gayet kibar ve iletişime açıklar. Odalar temizdi, otel genel olarak sessiz ve huzurluydu. Biz çok mutlu kaldık.

The hotel is small with leas rooms. Not many amenities but the staff is really good. Very helpful and courteous.

The hotel was really very nice and in a beautiful location. The room was lovely and had beautiful views of the city. There was a terrace at the top of the hotel with great views. The whole stay was however tainted when we checked out and were accused of drinking from the minibar in our room and they tried to charge us for this. We explained that we hadn’t (We don’t even drink fizzy drinks!), they seemed quite angry and did not apologise to us for their mix up. All in all was quite awkward and left a sour taste on what would otherwise have been a great stay!

Best service, comfortable room, in the center ot the city, has balkony.

What I liked is that the staff is great and very helpful and especially the reception girl Rihane.
