Pros:

The Glidden offers such a warm and welcoming experience. From the friendly, attentive staff to the wonderful tour led by James, every part of our stay was enjoyable. James shared his extensive knowledge of the Glidden’s history and the surrounding area, making the tour both informative and engaging. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and we had a great night’s sleep. Thank you to everyone at The Glidden for making our stay so memorable—you were all fantastic!

Old charm, amazing location, class and comfort.
Pros:

It felt like staying in an old money type place. The character, charm, service and location are top notch.

Cons:

Breakfast staff seemed to want to rush guests and looked visibly irritated. Maybe breakfast can go 30 min longer or so? A lot of people came in after us to eat breakfast and we got there the last 20-30 min. A lot was gone and picked over by 9:30 am and the staff seemed like they were inconvenienced by the guests and appeared to want to get everyone cleared out. They put away all drinks promptly at 10:02am, including water, while several tables were still eating breakfast so we were left to finish breakfast without drinks or refills. We were finishing our breakfast and the staff came around to ask for our plates before we could hardly get the last bit of food.

No bathroom fan or window, imagine the smells. King bed covers were queen size.

The building was beautiful and it was ina nice location. The linens were not soft.
Pros:

That it was served until 10:00 am. Area was kept clean.

Cons:

Food was cold. Not easy to navigate. There was no juice.

The Glidden is in the perfect location. We could walk everywhere. The staff were exceptional!
Pros:

They had the basics: scrambled eggs, potatoes, toast, yogurt, and oatmeal. The buffet line was easy to navigate. The breakfast rooms were comfortable

Cons:

The breakfast beverages were in two different places. The food was okay. It lacked more fruit options (there was only a fruit salad available.)

The only place I'll stay in CLE
Pros:

A wonderful hotel - staff all welcoming - location superb for walkable access to CWRU campus, cultural sites - rooms well appointed and extremely comfortable - complimentary breakfast very nice. Parking is $17 per night - which I didn't mind because the lot is surrounds the side and back of the hotel.

Highly recommended - should be a Traveler's Choice selection - a gem in this surprisingly visitable city.

Fantastic location and lovely staff
Pros:

We love the location and historic appeal of the Glidden House. So much is walkable, including the Cleveland Museum of Art and a wonderful restaurant, L’ Albatros. It is a lovely neighborhood and part of the Case campus.

Cons:

A nice renovation has been started but our bathroom still had an older tub/ shower. There are no grips in the bottom of the tub or bars and that felt a bit unsafe. But… lovely view of the garden from our room and terrific electric window shades that allow both light and privacy.

Delightful place, warmly welcoming staff, great ambiance--I loved it!
Pros:

Hotel is a beautiful historic building in excellent condition. The rooms were large; enough for my sister and me to not feel cramped. Everything was spotlessly clean. Staff was welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. Location was perfect as were were visitng the Cleveland Museum of Art. Breakfast was delicious! I would definitely stay there again.
