1. 10 minute walk to Severance Hall.
2. A very cute, cute old hotel.
3. Decent breakfast.
4. Nice tea and hot water available in the dining room when arriving feeling cold and tired.
Parking fee is a bit too high. It adds like $20?
The property is close to everything I need when I stay. The staff are always friendly and polite. The soaps in the guest rooms are wonderful and overall the decor is stylish
The rooms could be cleaner. The sconces in the bathroom are covered in months worth of dust. The finish on the mirror frame is coming off. The edges of the bathroom door show obvious signs of water damage. The opening of the sink drain had a gray circle around it indicating it hadn’t properly been cleaned. The bedding has no comforter. Instead there’s a thin, foam-like blanket with an even thinner sheet on top of that. The iron had something burned onto it and I almost ruined my pants before I noticed. Lastly, the elevator smelled like a subway station.
Close to the Cleveland Clinic and restaurants. Quiet neighborhood.
Convenient to University Circle attractions and restaurants
Outside parking in chilly Cleveland winter! Bar closed on Sundays. Cold plates on breakfast buffet chilled the hot food by the time you got it to your table.
We have always loved the Glidden House. It’s a historic hotel whose location, staff, service, amenities, and proximity to attractions are top notch for a visit to Cleveland. While the hotel has a nightly parking rate, it is, in the end a small price to pay for what you get.
A heavier duvet/comforter and a turn of the mattress would have made the stay even more comfortable, but other than that, it was excellent as always.
It is a beautiful place. Every staff member was so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. We were extremely impressed.

Well cared for historical property in a great location
Added $15 fee for parking. Eggs were just warm for breakfast.
Beautiful and comfortable. Great staff. Super nice and helpful.
No handicap accessibility in the front and no signage visible directing to the rear of the building.
Location
The room wasn’t very clean and the in room coffee maker was filthy
The hotel was very clean and the staff was super friendly! Be aware you do have to pay $15 for parking. It was so worth it for the location though! The automatic black-out blinds were also amazing. The breakfast spread was really good with lots of various items for everyone. I would come here again and recommend it to friends!
It was very clean. We loved the historic vibe of it as well. Definitely would stay again!!

It was a good blend of a micro Stan Hywet and The Grand Budapest Hotel. The Christmas decor and the quiet evening beside the dining room fireplace were on point. And Patricia (Patrish?) who checked us in was very kind and gracious when we requested a room move.
It was beautiful!
