This hotel is excellently situated around the corner from a great expat bar with great food. Actually, there is great food everywhere. The staff were always friendly and attentive. As with any big hotel, there are problems that crop up like an internet router going down, but the staff were quick to resolve them. The rooms (I dont consider dungeons without windows rooms) were sound proofed and always kept clean by the cleaning staff. The beds were comfy, and the shower pressure brilliant. For a three star hotel, you get a big bang for your buck! I originally booked a week and stayed three!

Cons:

The breakfast is beyond terrible, and quite frankly a disgrace in the food capital of the world, but there are plent of delicious options around the hotel.

Location was great and the price we paid for the hotel was reasonable, breakfast needs improving.
Pros:

The location was right in the heart of the heritage district and the price was reasonable.

Cons:

The breakfast had only two options - bread with butter and jam or fried rice/noodles. There was no cheese, no ham. There was no coffee machine - tea and coffee were provided in a jug.
