The hotel was comfortable and clean
The hotel is too close to the highway, there was a lot of highway noise during the one-night stay
The lobby was lovely and the staff very pleasant and professional. The food was exceptional.
The bathroom needs work. There was mildew around the edge of the tub in the caulk. The bathtub itself is falling apart on the outside by the door. Under the bathroom sink the tile and grout are falling apart and the wallpaper peeling.
Location
When I arrived for check in no one was at the front desk and me and other guests behind me were waiting for 10-15 minutes before anyone arrived. The room was located on the 3rd floor. Upon entering there was a musty/old smell. The cabinet that held the microwave was broken and leaning against the wall and the couch cushions were stained to the point I didn’t want to sit there.
I got the room to use indoor pool since it was 100 degrees outside that day. As you can see from the pictures, the hot tub water was brown and had a white film on the top of the water. Disgusting. The pool area didn’t look clean and there were only 3 towels for guests to use after. I had swim shoes so decided to get in the pool. Typically the water is warm but theirs was ice cold. It took me about 20 mins to fully get in and even after being in it for some time I was still freezing. I ended up leaving after an hour. I didn’t even stay there. I don’t plan on going back.
Extremely Disappointing Service!!! This hotel is in a convenient location for restaurants, but apparently, it's also a convenient location for crime! During the one night I stayed here, someone tried to break into my car in the parking lot and mangled the door handle. I reported the incident immediately, and filed a police report. The front desk staff said all the right things about customer care, and said that Hilton would assist with the cost of the repair. But that was just pleasantries to make me go away - the hotel is actually offering no assistance at all. I'm not actually suprised, that's what I expected from them. But I want to warn people - do not stay here, unless you want to run the risk of a vehicle break in!!!
The hotel has great promise: Nice lobby, clean rooms and shared areas, comfortable bed, and plenty of Crabtree & Evelyn grooming products. There were several things that dragged down the rating though. The shower spray was inadequate and I could barely rinse the shampoo from my hair. The shower liner was a full six inches too short, not reaching the tub, so you needed to put the actual shower curtain inside the tub if you didn't want a flood. Although there were K-cups and supplies for coffee service, there was no coffee maker. The furniture was okay, but will need a refresh sooner than later.
Before writing a review, I attempted to share this info with the hotel instead. The phone number that was supplied with my folio on an email after checkout wasn't in service. I used the "message" option in the Hilton app, but my live chat was still awaiting someone to sign on after several hours.
