Awful from start to finish! Rude front of house staff - very limited parking - tired and badly set out rooms
Pros:

rude and unhelpful front of house staff - took a £50 deposit in case you damage anything then take your card details manually ( including security code) so they can charge you more if you do more than £50 damage ( that says everything about the hotel and their usual clientele! When i expressed my worries about giving bank details manually I was told to leave the hotel by the rude reception staff! Room was tired , grubby and badly set out with double bed against a wall which meant if two people were booked you’d have to crawl over each other to get out of bed. They’re going work at this hotel but haven’t tried to keep the communal areas clean and as a result the carpets are filthy! This hotel is advertised as having parking - this consisted of around 15 spaces for a four storey hotel! Needless to say no parking was available.

Quite rooms, friendly staff but in need of a refresh
Pros:

Stayed here for two nights due to a booking an issue with my planned hotel. Was able to get a room at last minute, staff friendly.
Rooms are quiet and beds are comfy.
Was disappointed I couldn’t get food (evening meal) on site so ordered food via Uber.
Staff are super friendly, but the place is tired and in need of some TLC, hotel was busy enough as is all other accommodation in the area so some of the money needs to go back into the place.
The light smells, carpets are filthy and worn, bathrooms need a refresh, small car park next door but be warned is pitch black, and smells of urine and the parking is tight.
Wouldn’t rush back in afraid.

Pros:

Great value for money and in good condition. The only negative was how small the ‘double’ bed was which was also pushed up right against a wall. Fine for 1 person but very snug for 2.

Room was fine, stepping out of the lift onto a very worn and dirty carpet was very concerning. Room cleanliness was adequate

Pros:

The room was clean and looked as if it had been recently renovated, comfy bed. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order and very nice. Staff are friendly and very attentive. The hotel is currently undergoing much needed external renovation works. The stair carpet badly needs renewed.

Good location for central Barrow
Pros:

Staff were very helpful, and a good english breakfast is available along with cereals and such. Far ends of the hotel are WiFi blackspots - so if this is important, try and get closer to the centre. There's a lot of renovation going on at the moment - so sections are closed/not available. Free parking is available, but very limited. There is a large P&D carpark opposite

Pros:

Newly renovated room. Comfortable bed and quiet place. The only thing is we missed the breakfast as they only serve until 9 am. We thought it’s 10 am like other hotel. LOL. Otherwise it’s really good stay and will definitely come back again.

Pros:

Bedroom was spotlessly clean and bright with new fittings and very efficient shower. Corridor on second floor also very clean with new carpet. Breakfast offered a good selection on self-service and hot food to order.
Reception very clean and efficient with lift to the second level. Still some modernisation work going on including a new carpet required for the stairs.

Served our purpose very well for one night
Pros:

It met our requirements; staff very friendly and responsive (receptionist Molly even working gamely through feeling plainly unwell); obviously refurbishment isn't complete yet but that did not impact our stay. Breakfast better than expected - hot food good and plentiful, continental offerings fine if arranged in quite a basic way, but no complaints!

Basic but very nice
Pros:

Under renovation but we knew that when we booked. Room clean nothing special but it was all we needed. Breakfast was included, the cooked breakfast we had was very nice.
