Beautiful property
A little outdated. Bathroom needs to have things fixed.
We enjoyed the breakfast each morning. The staff was always kind.
The bar was out of a variety of drinks so it was limited on selections.
Location was excellent. Room was clean. Breakfast in the chapel was very good. Loved the new use for a beautiful building.
Room in the lower level did not have a lot of natural light and needed more lights. It was hard to see at the second bed.
Loved the patinaed architecture. Centrally located. Breakfast included.
The Celeste was a great location for me as I was visiting the Capitol. There were plentiful choices for public transit and Union Depot was an $8 or less Lyft ride. The second room I was moved to checked all the boxes for unique atmosphere and clever interior design. "Convent Charm" was woven throughout the heirloom building and the rooms, including great B&W photography of nuns having fun. This may be traumatic for some, but not me! The bar is always hopping, and the expansive, intimate seating just outside the bar space was incredibly calm and inviting.
I was originally placed in a basement room and I would advise anyone thinking of booking to confirm that they will not be in the basement. The rooms are dark and the windows, which begin about 6-7 feet off the floor, let in the glare of street lights and the hum of the light rail, all while offering a nice view into the room from anyone walking on the sidewalk just outside. In fairness, en route I did reach out to the manager, who tried to change the room for me, but I missed his message. The desk moved me the next day and things improved radically.
Great location and wonderful views of the Capitol, good if it's just one or two nights.
It's a little tired, could do with some tlc, no cupboards or draws for clothes was a pain.
Breakfast was ok but hate using plastic cutlery.
It's a beautiful hotel. The decor only adds to the beauty of the building. The breakfast was amazingly good!!
My room only had one window, so it was a bit gloomy.
Location and the front desk staff as very helpful and friendly.
Kitchen staff at breakfast did say hello or smile.
You could hear people in the rooms around you.
Breakfast was great.
